    Better question...

Is Richie Rich sending out shots to Lavar/Zo for signing with Mintz over him?

Btw, I quoted you LT, cause I know you in particular would appreciate any subs taken at Lavar haha.

The funny thing about player empowerment in the NBA is the owners aren't as bent on it as you might think. It's actually the hypocritical fans who hate it and make a big stink about it just because they want to hate on a player.

    What?

That was my way of saying I don’t agree with that take. (If I understood it correctly)

Exhibit A: D Sterling. Just the first one that came to mind. It’s an extreme example, but I don’t for a minute believe the Dolans, Gilberts, and the Sarvers of the world like to think of players as their partners.

So while some fans are extreme, ownership doesn’t get a pass for even a minute from me. There’s a reason the NBAPA exists.

Fans are like the media. They are leaches to drama and BS. If a player tries to win, he gets looked at as a super team runner or a guy who can't win it all. Both sides of the same butthole talking is what those two groups do.

Owners like Sarver, Gilbert and Dolan are business men trying to squeeze every ounce of a dollar out their ear. All three suck but make money doing it. See Roger Goodell. As long as you make the money, you can suck on the court or office all you want. It's fixed now.

Fans can say whatever they want. The politically correct folks can cry me a river. Seriously, if you own piece of the team, you’re an owner.

Doesn’t mean you own the athletes. That stuff is Nonsense.

I don’t know. How many pages was the Ron Artest thread before he came?

he's leaving milwaukee. and i think we'll definitely figure in the conversation, but it's unlikely he'll be here. but that's two, maybe even four years away. i truly believe that for all their faults, lakers ownership plays the long game (sometimes to a fault there, too).

will signing his brother do anything? probably not. but if you believe in your organization, exposing a family member to the way it works is low-key recruiting. i honestly think dallas was doing that and decided they'd never have a shot anyway, hence the release.

anyway, for all the "i love milwaukee" talk and the reports of his loyal character...they've put themselves in a spot where they'll quasi-contend but won't be able to get over the hump. recipe for him leaving at year 8ish.

Nobody is leaving until they do. No way LeBron leaves Cleveland. No way Durant leaves OKC. No way Kawhi demands a trade. No way LeBron leaves again. No way Westbrook plays for another team. No way Dwight walks from LA. No way LeBron leaves for a 3rd time.

Not saying Giannis is coming here, but the strangely defeatist attitude by the fanbase is confusing to me. We've had two wildly successful summers, we're poised to compete for two years, this Giannis thing is just a fun little side project we should keep an eye on while enjoying our squad.

It may depend if Lebron opts I’m strangely enough. He might not want to play with him.

Heck, AD could choose to leave that Summer to try to revive NY and win in the two biggest markets. (Assuming we win here lol)

In other words, I can’t see investing too much energy into something 2 years out that won’t be a possibility if we don’t perform at the highest level the next two years.
