Rondo was also the reason the Bulls jumped to a 2-0 series lead against the C Bags before breaking his hand. Dude can still play and would be solid since he loves pushing the tempo.

Woj just said on ESPN2 he thinks Utah has a good chance to keep Hayward.

Who cares? This team isn't in the playoffs and there was a reason every team has dumped Rondo. They got tired of his BS as he wasn't good enough anymore to warrant the headache. Terrible influence for a kid like Lonzo.

If he's so terrible as people say why would Magic/Pelinka call him?

    Why does Kobe respect him?

    Odd don't u think for a guy that's considered a cancer?

Magic would call him because he's a Magic type player, would fit right in during the 80's, harda**, tough, traditional PG, and Magic is out of touch that way apparently, similar to B0ron. Why Pelinka would call him I have no idea, he's possibly the worst fit imaginable for what we're trying to do here.

Man I hope this happens so much. No Hayward, no George, no Butler, but plenty of draft picks!

Rondo always has issues with the head coach, this year I think he was actually a good teammate (via Butler and Wade) but how do you justify being interested in Rondo when you just traded DAR for the same question marks.

If he can leave all his baggage elsewhere then he'd fit in nicely, I just don't trust him to. Luke already has to deal with developing all the young talent, we don't need to add Rondo-sitting to the mix.

Honestly I don't care about Rondo's attitude as much as his fit. Rondo is a horrible fit for a motion offense that emphasizes shooting and ball movement.

Iggy I'd love. JJ I'd be okay with on one year. McLemore was a kid I talked about before FA started. He'd be a reclamation project, probably cheap. If he's not cheap, then no thanks.

When Hayward stays in Utah or if the sorcerer in Miami gets him to the beach, will everyone stop calling Danny Ainge a genius, please? Danny Ainge is living off lurch handing him KG and an accumulation of draft picks that have panned out to d*** in 4 years. Someone needs to get Robert Horry over there to throw a towel in his face.

Our announced FA priority = shooting. I know, call Rondo who cannot shoot. Brilliant. This is the first thing that Magic and Rob have done that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. He's a ball dominant PG who plays exactly the opposite of the style Luke wants. He's the opposite of Lonzo. I just don't get it.

Iggy, on the other hand is the perfect player to add to this young team. He would slot in at starting SG. He would be a coach on the floor for Luke's system. Smart, awesome defender, championship leadership influence. I'd be thrilled if we offered him our entire cap for a 1+1. Maybe, he would even stay once PG + LlllleBron come next year.

Rondo is not gonna happen IMO..but there's other things Lonzo can learn for him, like how to become a great defender we know Rondo was/still kinda is.

Just kicking the tires.. Sounds like it could be bs. Could be rondos agent, maybe Pelinka is doing him a favor as well.

Yeah. Cant blame him. He should go back to Philly who can take the hit in year 3/4.

Everyone is jumping to conclusions. I doubt we sign Rondo, but before we freak out, lets wait to see if we sign him first.

To be fair Rob wants shooting and defense. Rondo is still a decent defender, offensively I think he can help direct traffic. I'm just trying to make sense of this call tbh.

If hes up for the challenge he can still be a smart cutter as we rotate the ball. Paint is gonna be free for lil 10-15 footers.

Huh, that's actually a pretty interesting point. Pelinka let's Rondos camp float a rumor that Lakers are interested in him, which gives him a little more leverage in negotiations with other teams, and then that agent pays Pelinka back sometime down the line.

I wouldn't bet on that being the case but it's fun to think about and I could see Rob doing stuff like that. Someone had pointed it out after the Brook interview and he did it again during the conference for the 3 rookies, where he just namedrops the players agent and thanks them. It seems like a very calculated decision to strengthen relationships with agents and I like that. Rob knows how to play the game.

I hope. If they really think adding a malcontent who doesn't fit our play style and sabotages the development of our supposed new franchise PG is a good idea just because they can sell him as a "star", then we're in big trouble.
