    You're a Kuz denier?

    @nzahir “taught”

I’m not as worried about Kuz on D, especially if he plays with the starters he can be hidden in the team concept. He’s a third year player and about to be coached by Vogel, I have faith he can improve.

Those other names, OG maybe if he wasn’t coming off an injury. No to Isaac. Why spitball when you know the answer

Im hoping he proves me wrong, I like his scoring versatility and movement without the ball

But shooting was poor last season and defense was very poor. I also blame Luke for making him play so much damn 5 and 4 vs bigger guys.

Just trying to think outside the box and see if we can get a nice defensive wing who can do something on offense. If we could get Iggy then this isn't even a thought

Wow my brain is shutting off

I do hope he improves obviously as this isn't very realistic

    OG will be fine imo

Listing names so others can throw out similar names.

Maybe if we didn't waste that money on KCP we could have taken in Jerami Grant and gotten a 1st back, but I doubt that we had enough time to make it all work out

Yeah I’m actually a little interested to see how OG comes back for the Raptors. Kawhi obviously did so much for them, but the Raps will be running off FU juice all year and should at least take a team out in the playoffs. Sorry if off topic.

I’d just rather not move Kuz. Lol

OG Anunoby is a forward on the Raptors, played pretty well for them the year before but was out for most of the Kawhi campaign

His appendix ruptured and he got a serious infection in late april that kept him out for rest of the year. But he should be fine now.

Was cleared for like Game 2 of finals but they didn't need to rush him back so they didn't

For those that don't now him for some reason, look up his defense highlights

I like Anunoby, still wouldn’t do it for Kuz.

edit: @nzahir , I was misinfomed. I thought I heard OG had a knee injury on a podcast earlier this year. I thought the case of appendicitis was on top of that.

For reference, Kuzma’s got 4.2 defensive win shares his first two seasons, and OG’s got 3.3 and Kuzma’s also a better shooter and scorer than OG. Kuzma also has two inches height advantage on OG, and like OG, Kuzma also has a 7ft wingspan.

We are underselling our guy just cause the team played like a dumpster fire collectively, especially on defense, under Luke Walton.

Defense is about effort and film study. I think Vogel is going to help in Kuzma’s development in this area.

Iggy is a Pelinka guy, his favorite team and player we're the Lakers and magic Johnson. He wants to stay in Cali. Trust me if he gets bought out, it's going to be us.

What would we really have missed out on tho? Mavs and LA were the only teams with substancial cap space and we had more starting gigs/minutes to offer since it was just Bron/AD/Kuz/Daniels/Dudz/THT at that point... we also had 10m more in space than the Mavs could offer.

Realistically we only possibly lose out on Green at that point.

We had KCP's bird rights that he would have had to sacrifice in going to another team. Other teams could have threatened to offer a 2 year non-tax MLE for a total of 18m, but instead he took our 2yr/16m instead. Let's say we attempt to trade him this year and he actually consents, he actually loses those bird rights he gained the last 2 years here. So the only way he keeps them is by having him agree to opt into the 2nd yr of that deal and now the team we trade him to has to also want Kcp as a 2yr deal rather than a pseudo expiring deal (via his player opt out). Did you hear any rumors of teams trying to set up meetings to bring Kcp in as a free agent? So, trading Kcp isn't going to be easy cause he loses his bird rights unless he turns his 1yr guaranteed deal into a fully guaranteed 2yr deal, he has to consent on the deal and there were no real threats in teams offering him a bag this summer anyways, so who do we really trade him to?

Why rush into a free agency pool that only had Green in it as a possible loss? We spent 23m of our 32m in cap space on Green and Kcp, who are both SGs that can't really help Bron be off ball and catch his wind? Is that considered solid depth?

Cook, Caruso and Boogie were all close to the vet min salaried anyways, so do we really lose them had we waited? There was no market for Boogie. McGee only met with Houston. Rondo didn't meet with anybody. Caruso met with the dubs who were hardcapped and penny pinching being just 300k away from the apron. Were they a real threat? Plus we still had the room exception to offer AvBrad.

So who do we really lose out on other than Green and maybe Mcgee?

Hell, even if we locked up Green @15m, we had nearly 18m remaining in cap to absorb other deals/facilitate other trades AND still have vet mins to give to Boogie, Cook, and Caruso.

Meanwhile Dallas has roughly 13m in cap space after the Wright s&t and has the market really shifted? Nah, because they world only be bidding against themselves.

Stupid cap use and I'm surprised most of y'all cool with it. It's ridiculous how many assets we lost to only get Green and Kcp with more than 70% of our max slot.

Meanwhile legit execs is slaying out here...for example Myers lost KD, Iggy, Cook and Boogie but had WCS agree to sign the vet min (wtf?) and brought back DLo (a legit asset he can trade later) instead of having KD just walk way for nothing (the pick the traded in the S&t is a 2020 1st rounder that is top 20 protected and if it doesn't convey next summer, it becomes a 2025 2nd round pick).

Meanwhile Rob salary dumps cheap guys assets to preserve a max spot, even tho no max guys were really in play. Why not execute a deal after Kawhi or another max guy commits? s*** makes no sense.

Jeanie, please bring in a legit Prez (like Griff, Myers or Masai) that can chin check Rob and his CBA guys. They in over their heads and continue to bid against themselves for no reason.

We got 2 spots left. Either we give a roster spot to Tht and fill the remaining 2way slot with another player of potential to pair with Novell.

Or we move THT to the 2nd and final 2way slot and then have 13 of the max 15 player slots filled, leaving us 2 roster spots for the main roster.

    Like this post but...

We potentially lose boogie green and Bradley which if healthy could all be healthy contributors for the "risk" of getting involved in a trade for Westbrook for "assets".

If it worked out you and we still got to sign these guys you would be a genius (I dont want Westbrook on this squad honestly with that cap hold, his contract is an albatross) but that's a huge risk with LeBron only having 1 maybe 2 good seasons left

In the sense that every player is potentially an all-star I guess. Kuzma is an atrocious defending volume shooter who is incredibly average and is already 24. Good 27th pick. Not an all-star.

“Do you watch nba basketball” is pretty aggressive btw. Bring the argument.
