It's 2019 not 2015. Much better to sell the cap space and take flyers on young talent with upside

Its 2019 not 2015. We’re trying to win a championship, not rebuild.

I disagree. DMC will likely be playing as hard as he can for his next contract, and even though he may never be pre-achilles DMC, he will certainly be better than what we saw last season. He also allows AD to play in his preferred position. 2 year 30 million dollar deal to DMC with a team option on the second year. 10 million to Danny Green. Pau, Korver, Melo, Iggy, and Caruso on minimums. Trey Burke with the remaining cap space. Save the room exception for midseason buyouts.

    DMC/Pau
    AD/Dudley/Melo
    Lebron/Kuz/Korver
    Green/Iggy/Daniels
    Burke/Caruso

I actually really like that team. It can win it next season if things break right and we get some good luck on health.

Trey Burke is a 6 year vet. Lebron will end up our pg anyway when the game is on the line.

He would. Anyone who says no isn't thinking. I do not like Cousins, but even at 5 million for 1 year is legit for him. He has too much talent. Plus, the team around him is better suited for his skill set. Curry and Kay and Livingston are guards with shoot first mentality. They aren't the drive and dish offense talents. With Rondo and Lebron, Cousins would get easy baskets in droves. He would work. He's good at the line as well. I have a lot of confidence in bigs who can hit free throws. It is a hidden advantage many do not talk about.

he would. the pendulum was swung way too far on that guy. he's not a franchise player, but he's immensely talented and more mature than he was in sac. i hope we've told him we'll pay him 10-15 per for up to 2 years if we don't get kawhi. depending on how dry the market gets, i might pay him more.

I believe AD and DMC are tight from their playing days in New Orleans. Be kind of a cool reunion!

No one is giving you any good picks for cap space. You’ll get a late first. Lebron has 2-3 years left. You do everything you can to win now and sacrifice the future - hence all the picks for AD and our current threadbare roster.

DeMarcus is the most talented player left after Kawhi, if he gets back to 80% of what he was, he is an all star caliber centre. Secondly, him and AD are friendly. So why not take a flyer on him if we strike out on Kawhi? No one else has such high upside and you’re risking a year of paying someone at the chance to catch lighting and win a championship.

it's an absolute no-brainer, imo. he's one of the most talented players on the market.
