I love the emojis he uses for Kawhi Lebron AD

    The AD one is classic.

The thought of a trio of Kawhi/AD/LeBron is so exciting. I can see why the rest of the league is scared and has been so afraid to help the Lakers.

There has never been in the history of the league where 3 current top 5 players are on the same team together. Closest would have been the LeBron/Wade/Bosh Miami team... except Bosh was more top 15.

Yep. This is what I am talking about - we lose out on Russell and other quality FAs, and we're screwed if Kawhi decides to stay in Toronto.

I would take the risk on n Kawhi, but I'll be disappointed if we have to settle for lower FAs....

This is a great day. No reason to be nervous. The only scenario that would upset me is if Kawhi goes to the clippers. If he stays in Toronto I’ll understand. In that case, I’m thrilled with DLo, even at $27mil.

What cap space does Minnesota have to sign D’Angelo? Unless it’s a sign and trade (who do they even have to offer there? wiggins?), don’t all they have is the mid level exception?

I’m still ok with D’Angelo as the backup plan if we can get him and a solid starting SG (Danny Green or Avery Bradley) or Center (DeAndre Jordan, the return of Julius Randle or even DeMarcus Cousins).

The only thing with D’Angelo is his agent is Aaron Mintz, who has bad blood with the Lakers (he also reps Paul George and Julius randle). I can see Mintz getting in the way and demanding D’Lo get his full max and no discount below that.

I agree 100%. DLO should sign with us and become a legend in the process. We’ll be fine either way.

This makes sense, there’s been talk of him playing with Towns since he came into the league.

How can you realistically be disappointed if we enter next season with LeBron, AD, Kuz, and a big bunch of quality role players? That’s still a title contending team, and the FO (and LeBron and AD with their rumored recruiting) will have done everything possible to try and get that 3 star plan, it just won’t have worked.

After all this sort of hype over the last week, it would sort of suck not come away with at least Russell. With guys like Kemba and Butler going elsewhere, its looking more and more like Kawhi or bust in terms of getting another "top" player.

eehhhhh, what about Kareem, Magic and Worthy?? People like to think Worthy was not that good but he was. If he would have played for any other team in the league, he would have been competing for mvp on a yearly basis. Competing, not winning, but mentioned in the top 5 regularly.

Good. Cover all your basses... just incase.

Unlike the rest of the league, it seems Kawhi hasn't actually made his decision before FA has even started.

Interesting we are making a push for Butler, wonder if we are willing to wait around for a concrete Kawhi decision considering how fast the market seems to be moving.

Hopefully he's receptive and will wait a bit. If we miss out on Kawhi, Butler going to Miami without at least hearing us out would be a mistake by him and his representation

Since he hurt his achilles I’m not feeling any interest in what decision he makes. Like yea whatever. See you in 2020.

So it looks like Kawhi will be the only top FA without a team by the end of the day.
