He’s so re-signing. It’s that time of year where everyone is “going to the Lakers” if they don’t get the money they want.

The Athletic ran a piece polling league insiders on how they expect the off season to shake out. A couple of nuggets pertaining to us or at least names that get brought up here and their price tag...

Sorry Brogdon fans, he'll cost ya

I think he has to be our plan B.

If Nets can't get that second guy, I just don't see why the Nets appeal to him at all.

My dilemma is, what if we’re put in a situation where he has to be Plan A?

Let’s say he calls up Lebron tomorrow and says he’s on board. Do we agree to terms with him right away on Sunday? Or do we pretty much make it clear that we’re waiting on Kawhi’s decision first and then risk not getting either of them?

Flip that script. What if we commit to Kyrie Sunday and find out after that Kawhi was going to sign with us? You have to prioritize Kawhi if there is any realistic possibility of his interest.

Either way I'm not worried. LeBron already has a solid commitment from someone we want. We're golden right now.

Awesome, lets waist time swinging for the fences while all the other high level role players sign contracts. We can always call deng right?

Have to wait for Kawhi. If you lose Kyrie because of it, Dlo is waiting with another 5+mil for another guy. Lakers have all the leverage.

Yeah, overall I’m in agreement. Wait for Kawhi. If we miss out and the other stars are gone, that’s fine. You have to live with that. I’m confident there will still be several high quality role players on the market at that point, including DLo and Brogdon who would be great hauls on their own.
