Again with the “lol”s, always love that in a friendly discussion. I’ll just say that we don’t have AD for anything more than 1 season YET. We need to not screw up this roster outside of he and LeBron and Kuz or there’s no guarantee he stays. The Cavs once had LeBron, Kyrie, and Love, and Kyrie turned into a ruined Isaiah Thomas, things can always happen and go wrong. I’m sure Cleveland never expected Kyrie to demand out and for the fallout to leave them a smoking crater again, but it happened. We would be wise to try to avoid building a stupid roster that makes zero sense on the court to avoid more unnecessary drama again. We agree on wanting 3 and D guys and going for a title right now and dealing with the cost later though, have to take advantage of superstars’ windows, but you can still do it smartly.

Nothing shocking here with this news. He will make more money even if he stay by opting out.

Having to cheer for Karl Malone was enough. Don’t do this Rob. No JR.

    Bring back Lance or someone.

Not by much...IF he gets his five year max next year--which I'm sure is what houston's selling using cp as the exemplar.

I'm already sick of JR and he's not even a Laker yet

    No thanks.

But I'm warming up to Dlo coming back. Great 3rd option, he's young, good shooter, can get super hot at times and he'll have a ton of space with AD and LeBron on the court, good all around PG skills. The biggest problem is he's not a defender. Not sure how much of a problem this would be if AD and McGee are guarding the paint.

I hope with Danny Green next to him he will be fine. Hoping for an energized Lebron (who has less to carry on Offense) will give more effort on defense, especially come playoffs.
Kuzma is where I worry, hoping Vogel can get him to be an avg defender even. He has the length to do it.

Yeah even if Butler opts out...he can opt back "in" too and force a trade. I believe that is what CP3 did right?

Also, if players have the ability to opt out and opt back in...that's actually great news for us...maybe we can force an "opt in" and trade with Butler, Kyrie or Kawhi where they just get taken into our cap space and we give them Wagner/Bonga?

Problem is that hou is offering some value in trade (Gordon or capela) whereas we wouldn't be.

We do have Kuzma but I definitely wouldn't offer him for Butler in an opt-in and trade.

I'd only offfer Kuzma in an opt-in and trade scenario that involved Kawhi Leonard, that's it.

Other than that...I'm trying to dump wagner/bonga to any team that wants to not lose their star for nothing.

Vogel doesn't ask his players to switch as much, so I have no doubt that if they play Kuzma on SF's he's going to do much better. Kuz simply can't guard the 4 or 5, but he's always been at least average at defending SF's.

Because this comes from a journalist and not a team executive going wink wink on national TV.

Links us to Melo. No new news, so it's likely speculation by the writer.

Also brings up that VC has interest in getting into the studio gig after next year. LA has more opportunities for that avenue for him than NYC has.

    Cause it's not Magic obviously!

I got receipts too...peep the time stamp.

Btw, the narrative's been wild on Magic tampering. Magic was fined 50k for tampering about comments made towards Giannis staying in Milwaukee and winning that team/city a chip.

Meanwhile, here's Danny commenting on Giannis:

So he wonders outoud about drafting Giannis to Boston.

Then he involves Bron in his tamper talks for good measure.

Oh and no tampering fine or probe. Must have paid off the league office under the table with draft picks.

Yeah I really don't want to see over the hill LeBronaires because they played with him. And JR has always bugged me.

    Korver yes.
