"Small contingent"...I had you in there bro haha.

I mean the media can have fair takes: Magic could have done much better. I mean was he even qualified? He could be himself and recruit players here as an unofficial ambassador, so under his current capacity, that is what's best.

Rob too isn't qualified and it's obvious to me, till proven otherwise, that he hasn't found the fine touch yet to finesse the cap game. Maybe part of it is that Laker hating teams are incapacitating him in doing so. But we are at this point with Bron, AD in tow and a max slot in 2 seasons from our MozDeng days...so that gets big ups in helping us get there. Hopefully he becomes better in his negotiating tho as we progress from here.

I really would like Jeanie to look at what Gayle Benson did. Like her, she inherited a larger governorship stake and had been criticized in not running the ship right. However this summer she brought in CBA savvy Griff who then hired his people and brought in another cap savvy exec in Trajan to become his GM. Two cap guys running your bball ops is the way to go imho.

Let's change the narrative and make it our own before the media can. But if it is Rob as "the" guy then please bring in more cap/CBA advisors other than just the Rambii to surround him with. Please open that bag, Jeanie.

That’s been my main thing. We have the resources to build the best organization from top to bottom in the league. There’s no cap on what we could spend in that area.

There’s no valid reason for us not to have the best and brightest working for the team in all levels.

Had some great jams this year so has size and decent athleticism and plays hard nosed defense and takes care of the ball to the best of his handles and what he attempts to do. Smart player.

But how unfair at this point with the hand he was dealt, especially in the post season dealings with NO and other teams in trying to keep the 32m cap space, to assume he's any less than what none other than Kobe Bryant says is whip smart and the right guy. Until we see what we have. Not to beat a dead horse here but he's had to deal with what the entire anti Lakers media spin has put up as headwind, a bunch of pissed off NO executives for the hostile takeover of their franchise player and with right prior to this biggest Lakers moment since Lakerjones I think said .... the summer of Shaq and Kobe .... after Magic calling him literally a "backstabber" (to work with) to the entire NBA.

    Go Rob.

No it literally is about AD.

Before this she was talking about the changes in terms of Pelinka and Vogel. Then she says a lot of other changes she can’t talk about.

The trade isn’t official yet. Jeanie can’t talk about AD.

Honestly i just see it different. He might end up being okay but that’s my issue.

We’re the Lakers. We shouldn’t have to wait and see. We could and should have the best. Period. We shouldn’t have to wait for guys to learn on the job.

If we’re going to do that then at least put someone experienced over them. Instead we have the Rambis’s.

    That makes no sense.

We have money and resources. Those things just shouldn’t be an issue or concern.

Can anyone here tell me who is an option we aren't seeing at pg or sg from a trade perspective?

Lebron has always played with another creator at guard.

Mo Will (barely counts), Wade, Kyrie

I don't think Beverly, Collison fit.
Is Lamb close enough since we also have a big that can create for himself more than any big Lebron has played with?

Any bad contracts we can take on and in doing so, we can get a point guard back?

Would taking on Eric Bledsoe be an option? Bucks have enough playmakers if they bring others back (Giannis, Middleton, Brogdon, and could keep Hill maybe for that year, or bring in a backup with mle?). He has had 2 bad playoffs in a row and his fit isn't perfect, but he is a very good defender who can create for himself. Not a huge fan, but throwing out ideas

^^^ Who exactly are we supposed to trade..?
Best bet IMO is to get either a 2 way Guard like Kyrie or Kemba.
If we get a pure 2 Guard like Butler, Klay or even Kawhi, we'll need a solid Vet PG just to run the offense.

2 way guard??? Kemba and Kyrie are more 1 way guys so idk what you are talking about. Kyrie can be decent at defense at times when he tries, but not consistently.

Something like a jeff teague and 2021 lotto protected 1st (protections gone in 2023) from the wolves for Wagner, Bonga, and Jones. Gives us 13-17M left depending if AD waives kicker. We get a pretty avg starting pg for basically 14M for a year since we shed 3 guys who won't play much and eventually get a 1st. Minny frees up some space for DLO, still need to get rid of Dieng and thats it I think. Or some type of trade where we absorb Goran Dragic. Nothing is perfect, but not many options

It's gonna be interesting to see where it all lands, for sure.
By "2 way Guard", I meant Combo Guard. Someone who can play either Point or SG..
Really Kyrie, Kemba or DLO are the only Top FA's that fit that bill.
Butler, Kawhi & Klay are all more SG/SF

I am too conflicted now on who I would even want if I had the choice (besides Kawhi obv).

    Between Kyrie/Kemba or Butler.

Kyrie/Kemba are better shooters and give us a point guard.

Butler gives us creating as well at sg spot, but can also defend opposing teams best guard/wing. Try to get hill/collison for room exception, but who knows if we can even do that. Would be a nightmare to get stuck with Rondope for the room exception with Jimmy.

Just remembered Jimmy and Rondo kind of clashed anyways.

I like the idea of depth, but not sure how to get enough shot creation at guard spots. D'lo for 27M and extra 5M for a guard/wing would be nice too. But still requires AD to waive kicker (he should).

Yes, Green definitely had bad shooting games this post season. You know who else had really bad post seasons for the Raptors? Kyle Lowry. Until this year he was a cold as you could be. But you're only "bad in the playoffs" till you're not. You think people still consider Lowry "Post-season Kryptonite"?

As perfect as a team that we could get out of a full max BUT if no max player will sign here I think Davis will want his trade kicker and we'll have less than 24 million

Because they did what he left them no choice but to do he wants the penalty they should pay for doing it? How would you rule on that Your Honor?
