It's great to get back to some good old time C bag hate!!

I almost want Kyrie more than Kawhi, except Kawhi is better. But Kyrie would still be sweet and to hear all those C Bags whining would be sweeeeeet.

It's happening. Only question is, what happens to D-Lo. And for those who haven't learned, Kyrie can't have a competitor next him. I do not think Kyrie could play with D-Lo and D-Lo would get stunted. Nets need to make sure they know what they are getting into once Kyrie comes.

Say we get 32M (Wagner and Jones to Wolves for #43. Bonga and cash to a team for protected/late 2nd).

What do you guys think of DLO for 27M?

38% avg on catch and shoot 3s in last 2 years

Use other 5M on a guy like Ariza?

Still have room exception for sg?

Vet min possibilities: Korver, Robin Lopez, Wayne Ellington, JR Smith, Avery Bradley, Rondo

I like DLo a lot, and the story would be wild, but at that price with us having such a tight salary cap situation to build this squad, I'd rather spread that cap room out on more depth. Give me Beverly, Terrence Ross, and more than just DLo and minimums. I don't think he's quite up to that level and we know he's not great on D.

I would take D-Lo for 4 years at 80 million. Not anymore. He would be perfect for this team and the Lakers can spend the remaining 12 million on a couple more really good role players. I think the Lakers are gonna go max for Kawhi, MAYBE Butler. If those two dont come, I think they will spread the money around unless they go the D-Lo route.

Yeah, this. Really like Russ, really happy to see him become an all-star, but if we get that max slot, for me it has to be going to a more established star like Kawhi, Kyrie, Butler, or Kemba, and if not, you spread it out for depth rather than go for a 2nd tier kind of guy. That allows you to try and win now and try and go for that true next star when LeBron’s time here is up.

I'd take D-Lo for sure whether it's his max or not. He's 23 years old, fits in with the timeline of AD and Kuzma and when LeBron is running out...we'll have a max slot ready for whoever wants to take his place with a 26 year old D-Lo, 29 year old AD, and 27 year old Kuzma.

Has there been any discussion of a DLo reunion if Kawhi doesn’t come?

If Kawhi decides to stay with Toronto and Kyrie goes to the nets, I'd go after Dlo for 18 million a year + bonuses if he improves his defense. And then with the rest of the 14 million I would go after Al Horford. Fill out the rest with vets like Danny Green, Jeff Green,Kyle korver (if waived) and McGee.

    Dlo/Caruso/2nd rounder (bought)
    Green/Korver/undrafted
    LeBron/Kuz/undrafted
    AD/Jeff Green/J Williams
    Horford/McGee/Chandler

Lol this is awful man sorry

Dlo will get 27.25 max or around it

Al will get closer to 20M than 14M

Green isn't taking room exception and Mcgee aint taking the min likely

*OX voice* whoa, hang on there Miss Cleo, didn’t realize we had our own resident psychic *OX voice*

But seriously, to our new members, we try to be as civil and respectful as we can around here while having discussions, while still maintaining our humor and ability to poke at eachother lightly. Laughing at others’ ideas and telling them they’re awful won’t lead to any real meaningful back and forth, there are better ways to say you disagree with someone when presenting your rebuttal.

Not being disrespectful, but I think you can pencil in DLO not taking 18M in a year where many teams have tons of cap space and in a league where guys like evan fournier, crabbe, teague.. are getting 18M+

Man, I'm bummed that we couldn't hold on to Hart. He was cheap labor that was productive.

DLO isn't taking 18M. He will get his full max from somewhere. Too many teams are going to be after him. Same goes for Horford...he's going to get $20-25M and many years on his deal. Too many teams have cap space unfortunately.
