There is definitely a Pacers/C-Bags connection. Pacers GM Pritchard got his job from Larry Bird. He is still Larry's man. Magic runs the Lakers. Of course Larry has told Pritchard if he deals with the Lakers he either guts us or no deal. And probably just said no deal period. I'm sure he's told him to see if he can get something done with Boston.

If PG gets signed to the C-Bags and they give up a lot for him, and then, in a conspiracy created with Kobe/Magic/Rob, he comes over here next summer and leaves Ainge high and dry, I think I will cry tears of joy.

i don't think you can offer RFAs any less than three years. someone should probably check me on that.

    Your wish is my command.

Restricted FAs must sign deals that have at least 2 guaranteed years. If the player's original team extends a full qualifying offer to the player, then it must be three years guaranteed.

why dont we find someone to take Lopez off our hands and pitch Gordon Hayward ourselves? If that stupid Bos rumor is a concern and their pitch is we'll get you Pg, why can't our pitch be like that? At least we have Pg rumor on our side and not some wack arse scenario where bos has to do this and that and Pg has to to this and that to get it done. Next yr worse case scenario, stretch Dung and give Clarkson away with Randle. Ball/Pg/Hayward/Ingram/Zu, thats tall/long lineup.

If he's bought out, he's going to Cleveland, right?

I haven't heard our name mentioned in connection with Hayward in any rumors. Yet I keep hearing it it with LeBron, George, Westbrook, huge names. Leads me to believe we think we are "the Lakers" again, that 2nd tier stars are beneath us, and that we will only save money to go after the biggest names. Hasn't worked out for us this decade, but hey, we're the Lakers, big names should pay US to play here.

Since we know Jerry Reinsdorf is a stingy SOB and would pay players who play for him. Let's do the guy a solid and send him Deng for Wade.

I think it has more to do with: how the eff would we pitch him? We're not pitching anybody this summer because we don't have a max slot and we suck. What do we tell Hayward this summer that Boston can't tell him already? We need the second max slot opened up.

non-shooting guards are going extinct. he's got to hope he can carve out a livingston type career as a backup. can't see luke wanting mcw, though.

Man this guy was Rookie of the Year once upon a time. I'd give him a look, we wouldn't lose any size going from Ball to MCW.

To be fair, he was rookie of the year in one of the worst draft classes maybe ever.

I don't see Serge going anywhere. Toronto can't let him walk.

Besides, we've got Lopez now to space the floor as a big and protect the rim. I'm good, thanks Serge.

I would too. He's actually exactly the kind of player that could use LA as a way to earn another paycheck. Big stage, solid role, high octane offense. I could see this move being made if we gave him a 5-ish million dollar deal with some incentives for one year.
