This is mine as well, but I would almost spread out my money instead of giving it all to Kemba. I just don't have great confidence in him with everything he's done while in CHA. Granted he's never had great teammates, that's still a done of money to commit to someone who hasn't proven it. 1-3 is right on the money for me.

Rondo, KCP, Dwight Howard, and 39 year old Pau who averaged 3.9 ppg and 4.6 boards last season for ceremonial purposes. Why not just go full Draymond on me, high kick

33m is a lot of role players, you got maybe 4-5 good ones there. That’s a 8 man rotation with Kuz/AD/Bron. Or go for Brogdon plus 3 and then you have a 7 man rotation and add McGee and Rondo for Vet Min

What if the whole Kyrie to Brooklyn buzz was set up just to take away leverage from the Knicks and C Bags?

I’d think there would be more negative reaction around the league and national media that might pressure Griffin against dealing with us if the buzz was that we already had another max guy committed.

Seems kind of strange for Kemba to be our top target, but hey, if it’s true maybe they’re thinking of having the major positions covered, point guard, wing, big. Or maybe they have intel on who is realistic. Still, Kemba can get the most from Charlotte, I’d still think we’d go after Kawhi, Kyrie or Butler first.

Kemba is also BI/Tyson's agent and I'm sure the Lakers gave their blessings in using their name as a threat to Charlotte, to lock up that supermax bag, that they probably haven't offered yet.

That...or the Lakers really do want him haha.

Could be a smoke screen. I doubt if the Lakers had a choice between Kyrie or Kawhi or Kemba, that he wouldn't be third on that list. Especially since Kemba has already said he would stay in Charlotte for less money. The only way it makes sense is if Pelinka has Intel that Jordan doesn't want to give Kemba a max or near max deal.

I did just notice something about Kemba that I really like that is just as important as his stats. That is his availability in his 8 year career. He has played in 95% of the games thru his 8 year career. Not a lot of load management there. As much as it would pain me to pay him 30 mil per for the next 4 years, the track record does say he will be in 78 of the 82 games each year. That's a great stat in this day and age and he just turned 28 which is a perimeter players prime prime age during their careers.

    The quote sourced

Can’t read the article, but maybe someone who is able to can confirm Aldridge said that in this latest article and it isn’t from an older story and being used as clickbait here

I like Kemba, he's a great player and realistically, he'd be a good fit with Bron and AD. The problem is... he's not worth all that money on our team, because he's not "the man" anymore. His talent would be minimized here I feel. But I have been wrong before. IMO, Butler fits better. So does Kyrie.

Kyrie, Lebron and AD in two weeks? Man, sticking it to the C Bags through the brain and the heart would be delicious.

My list of people is more around the likes of JJ or Beverley or others that are 3-Pt players or scrappers like Lance, but the rest would be more for courtesies and easiness of their skill from last season.

I’m not trying to say they are the best options, but maybe some of them pan out better than we think. It’s all about filling roster spots with players who can give 10 minute breaks to our stars or be the veterans they need to be to Kuz and anyone else still young.

It’s not a great plan, but who do we sign after getting a third big star who comes off the bench so that our stars can have their load management and what not?

I just really hate those guys is all. :D Like I want Rondo gone, I never want to have to say KCP’s name again, and I can’t friggin stand Dwight. Pau, I was mainly joking about. If he wanted to come here on a minimum deal as an insurance big, give us whatever he’s got left for a few mins here and there, retire a Laker, I wouldn’t be opposed.
