    I’d rather have that too, if I already had another superstar or star on my team to be a contender with. The Spurs don’t, Aldridge is about to turn 34 in July and isn’t what he once was, which was never a top tier star. DeRozan is why they even still got to the playoffs, I’d at least ride out his remaining years or try and trade him for a rebuild, not trade him to add a 30 year old Bojan.

    I’m not, if only because I’m not paying the Popovich hates the Lakers tax to get a guy like DeRozan. I would if there were a reasonable deal to be made, but not for what the Spurs would ask because Pop is a grumpy old dude still mad about the Pau trade. I’d be willing to offer the #4, Kuz, Hart (however else you need to work it to make salaries work), but nothing more than that for DeRozan. No BI, no Zo. Those are guys only available for AD or possibly even Beal.

    lol, i'm giving up zero assets aside from cap space for derozan. maybe hart. i'd be interested in eating his contract, not helping the spurs in any other way. they can enjoy 7th place for the rest of pop's tenure, as far as i'm concerned. i'm willing to help them get to 13th.

    Well, my offer is based off of the Lakers tax. I think the #4, future 2nds alone is worth DeRozan, but you know Pop wouldn’t.

    To be fair, those draft picks are probably more valuable after the fact, since players that late are not always guaranteed contributors at the level of Kyle/Josh.

    That deal (minus possible fillers, can't remember the cap situation at the time) was nearly done though. I caught wind of it prior to the media for promotional reasons and went around excitedly telling everyone. If I was a part of this community a few years back I would have definitely shared it and been proven very wrong! S*** happens!

    In any case, if we're that close to landing Anthony at any point, I will let you know!
