Oh absolutely. I was talking from the pure talent/value perspective. League is hating so much, we would have trouble trading prime Kobe for Fultz right now...

Yeah Shai and Harrell are good young players but I wouldn’t trade any of ours for them.

    Shai/Elf
    Jrue
    Gallo/Mirotic
    Randle
    Okafor/Harrell

On paper, the 6ers should be best in the east. If they mesh and chemistry is there, that's another story. Butler hasn't been ther most natural fit, we'll see what that means going forward.

Clips setting up well unfortunately. Thanks for dropping out of the playoffs though.

Seems like backup plan if we don't get Ariza.

As I said in the RB thread (I think), regardless of the AD situation we need all the shooting and defensive energy we can get. We have ZERO of either right now. Brick layers and spectators. For a playoff push, we need grit and competitors. IE. the way Brewer got after Harden the other week.

I'd like to see him bought out and follow Marc to wherever he ends up.

just looked at miami's cap sheet...yowzas that's bad. problem is that the east is so bad that miami may still make the playoffs every year.

but yeah, right now, that pick looks top-5, top-10 at worst. of course, everyone thought boston's top-1 protected sac pick was going to be epic, and now it looks like it will be #14 or 15...or worse.

wonder why. haven't watched him that much, but it seems weird to be working hard to get rid of him. unless he asked to be moved somewhere he'd play more?

Hey another trade in the NBA, this time Tobias Harris going to a team that already has Simmons/Embiid/Butler....

Me trying to search for executives crying about how a stacked team got better...

i'm surprised at the gumption on the clips. they were headed to the playoffs and probably tanked that by trading their best player for a pick and air. i think it was actually a smart move (i wouldn't want to be the team paying harris big cash out of cap space this summer--makes much more sense for capped out philly to do it), but man, that wouldn't play well for a higher profile franchise.

It's because Philly isn't in a large mar....oh wait. They're the 5th largest city in the country. Well, it's because they always try to put a good product on the flo...oh wait. They intentionally lost games for half a decade to game the system.

I think Clippers out performed this season, don’t think they were expecting to be in playoff contention. But now West is armed to the teeth for the summer with cap space and picks. Playing the long game.

I see it as a great move for both teams. Harris is a perfect fit next to Simmons and Redick. In one move, Jerry West:
    1. Indirectly weakened the C's by helping the Sixers; 2. Weakened the Cs by potentially converting his own team's 1st round pick to 2 second rounders; 3. Set his team up for an immediate run at AD; 4. Set his team up for a potentially huge FA offseason; 5. Positioned his team better with valuable future picks, if they choose to keep them; 5. Just gave GSW a real rival from the East.

We really need to bring Jerry West back into the fold. I hate seeing him shrewdly trade and draft in behalf of other teams.
