    problem is washington has now seen how good beal is, and they're holding him out of all trade talk per recent reports (and OPJ, oddly). maybe wall's bizarre injury nudges them into full-blow-up mode (it should). in which case, we could make a strong offer for beal, who's a great fit with our team. my vote would be ingram/zu/KCP/two 1sts (both lotto-protected).

    I'd go for some Beal, though I hope its nothing reactionary to the fallout of the AD deal and we overpay.

    The Toronto Raptors have reportedly engaged the Memphis Grizzlies in discussions on a blockbuster trade ahead of Thursday's deadline.

    According to SI.com's Jake Fischer, the Raptors offered point guard Kyle Lowry and center Jonas Valanciunas to the Grizz in exchange for guard Mike Conley and center Marc Gasol.

    I'd do that deal. I'd still try to get Phoenix to bite on Ball though. Maybe we do the same deal you mention, but send Ball to Phoenix and send Josh Jackson to Washington instead of Ingram. Then try to pry Vucevic away from Orlando using Hart and Wagner with some 2nd rounders.

    I’d take that deal in a heart beat, but I’d love to get Beal, Vucevic and Porter in a bigger deal where we give up 2 of our young core

    Why Porter? I like Beal for one of our core and picks. And I like maybe Hart and some second rounders for a Vucevic rental. But Porter? If we do that, Lebron, Beal, Porter, Vucevic and (for the sake of this argument) Lonzo better be able to beat Golden State cause we'd be capped out from doing anything else.

    Doesn't acquiring Beal for one Core + picks eat up our cap space also? I like Beal, but he is not good enough to be the 2nd piece in a championship puzzle. 3rd piece ... maybe so, but getting him now pretty much eliminates acquiring a true 2nd star to pair with LeBron. Also, one core piece plus picks won't work because of Beal's contract. We would have to trade some significant salaries back.

    We need 3pt shooting. He’s down a bit this year. Not sure if it’s the craziness with the team or he’s injured or what, but he was shooting like 44% from 3 last season I think.
