My son and I watched a lot of him and he is a scrub. He makes many boneheaded mistakes and he has attitude like he’s entitled. It’s super annoying.

    Da f***!?!

Makes me think if there was a proposed 4way deal like this that fell apart, cause you know...Salter, uh Sarver:

    LA: Ariza/Melo
    Htown: Rivers
    Wash: Kcp
Phx: Oubre, Htown trash + protected 1st pick, LA 2nd

Wiz have Klutch konnections obviously, so KCP would be a good grab for them. Ariza gets to come home and Cp3 gets his bunk buddy back.

Speaking of which, live look at Cp3 and Rivers getting back together and rock'n that secret Staples tunnel together.

Btw, really interesting name to hit the wire recently:

And it's really interesting when you consider what Bron said about dude:

DSJ is definitely a better shooter than Ball, and also more athletic but does not have Lonzo's feel for the game.

would you do it if Dall added incentive like a pick from their end? DSJ reminds me of Lowry in his early career. Took him 3 teams before finally being relevant in Hou and then becoming a legit all-star with Tor. I really dont see ball improving on his shot mechanics enough to be a consistent offensive threat but that D is useful tho

I was a proponent of trading down and getting DSJ in that draft but I don't know, Lonzo seems so terrific on D and playmaking (although Lebron affects that completely) and will only get better on those things. That shooting though:Lavartalking:

i wouldn't trade lonzo for dsj, but i think the mavs wouldn't make that deal, either. neither guy is blowing anyone away right now, but both have shown flashes of what they can do. fwiw, lonzo (theoretically) fits better here than dsj in that he's up-tempo/low-ball-domination/switchable on d.

i think their overall impact thus far has been pretty similar, though--in that fox roasts them both.

Not a fan of DSJ for what this team is doing. He feels like a less efficient Donavan Mitchell.

    minor move suggestion
    Beasley/future 2nd/Cash for Justin Holiday
Chi season is toast and they wont likely need Holiday anymore, might as well give all the PT to the youth mov't. Holiday is 6 7" G/F who is shooting 36%+ from 3's, a solid 3/D guy who we might be able to retain on the cheap next yr too. I feel bad for Beasley current situation with his mom passing but he wasn't really playing much anyways. The cash can be used to buy out beasley and he can take the yr off and grieve

Sounds like a PR potential disaster

    Not sure it’s worth it

That scenario is fine, but I think the franchise wants to known for going above and beyond for its players. He came here knowing he might not play much, and the team has been very classy and professional in handling his time off for family reasons.

A trade without request would undo any perceived goodwill gained by the team. I can’t see it being worth it.

Wes for KCP/Salary fillers....both guys need a change of scenery and both are expiring. Wes for all his issues is still shooting 38% from 3's, much better than kcp 36%, both are a shell of themselves defensively but at least Wes has an excuse with his prior torn achillies injury, not sure KCP has any excuse for his matador like D

I'd rather have kcp than wes. kcp has that speed in the open court to get a few easy baskets at any time while hes in

and he's an absolute non factor when he doesn't shoot well and is constant liability on D

I haven't watched Wes much this year, but I can only assume he's no different. If his shot isn't falling, he's definitely not bringing anything else on offense. He's smarter on D than KCP, but is slower and isn't locking anybody down these days.

If you’re not a high level starter in this league, fans think you’re pretty much trash. Some of that perception is production in light of pay of course.

That sounds like a lateral trade with little to no upside though.

i think that, like the dsj/lonzo idea, both teams would decline.

i wanted the lakers to try to trade deng/randle for wes/powell last year, and definitely wish they did that in retrospect.

matthews is a tough fit. he needs to be humbled and then join a contender, where he could really feast. don't let houston get wes or kcp.

I can tell you from reading Dallas’s game thread that their fans hate Wes and I mean HATE.
