    Yes, many were freaking out.

I kind of read the Paul Georgd tea leaves - but I had a feeling Bron was coming; nevertheless, for about 4-6 weeks, I started reading everything and googled things that went back a year.

I was persuaded by all the bread crumbs leading here.

Either way, he is here, and I am very happy.

When's your son going to come out and say something moronic and stupid about how LeBron's only coming because of Lonzo?

"If it wasn't for that Ball boy, Lebron wouldn't be here. Who's the King now?"

    Probably.

Something is going to happen still. Otherwise signing both KCP and Stephenson is redundant right now.

    Lonzo/
    KCP/Hart
    Lebron/Ingram/Stephenson
    Randle/Kuzma
    McGee/Zu

Not starting Ingram is silly at this point, and having a player or Stephenson’s quality as a 3rd stringer for 4.5m is too. I think signing KCP and Stephenson points to us trading 2 or maybe all 3 of Ingram/Hart/Kuzma.

    Lonzo/Mills
    KCP/Hart
    Kawhi/Stephenson
    Lebron/
    McGee/Zu

Still a lot to do to get us where we need to be to compete and found out that front court. Going to be an interesting few weeks.

As an aside: I’ve been saying since before anyone knew Kawhi would be available that the trade for him would end up being one of Lonzo and Ingram, one of Kuzma and Hart, two/three firsts and Deng.

I think ultimately it ends up as Deng, Ingram, Kuz, 2 firsts for Kawhi and Mills

    False bro.

Bron is a 4 now. He'll split time with Kuz and Jules (who will also play at the 5). BI's a 3 and will split time with Lance. McGee gives us a rim protecter/runner, but he ain't getting extended minutes and will split it with Jules.

I still see Noel/Bosh down the pike and we still can create roughly 20m (a rehabbing Boogie possibly...maybe Amir).

I don't buy for a second that a majority of our kids need to be traded.... otherwise it would have already happened.

My guess: s&t Jules which can't be done till the 6th when contracts and our books get finalized.

Yeah you know I can see playing Randle all his minutes at the 5. He has to really bring it and we need to play zone more since we can’t funnel everything to a rim protector. But I do have some trepidation with it as well.

    Lonzo
    KCP/Hart
    Ingram/Stephenson
    Lebron/Kuzma
    Randle/McGee

We need a good backup PG, a good 3&D one would be nice.

I can’t predict how competitive that squad will be at all in the west. 5th/6th seed?

Also spacing will be an issue...

I think KCP, Hart, and Ingram are possible 3 and D guys. Stephenson maybe, but he doesn’t shoot a great percentage from 3.

    How about something like:

    Atlanta in: Deng, Gasol, 2019 Lakers 1st (Top 5 protected), 2021 Lakers 1st (Top 5 protected), 2020 2nd, 2022 2nd
Spurs in: Randle, Ingram, Schroder, Zubac, Prince
Lakers in: Kawhi and Patty Mills

Atlanta collects 4 picks for a couple bad contracts, one of which is basically an expiring.
San Antonio gets a rebuild started around a young, fairly cheap cast.
Lakers get Kawhi and a backup PG.

    Lonzo/Mills
    Pope/Hart
    Kawhi/Stephenson
    LeBron/Kuzma
    McGee/Wagner

I'm too tired to check the financials on that, but I think it works.

KCP are pretty good defenders, I wouldn’t call them great shooters.

He’s definitely streaky. But what can you do, all the “ic”s are locked up already.

Just over 38%, he's solid. You definitely don't want to leave him open and dare him shoot. He'll drill it.
