Zero chance I give up Ingram for a 33 year old Gasol, even if Deng is gone as well. The main reason we have in dumping Deng this offseason is for the ability to sign Lebron and PG and keep Randle. If we do a max this summer and a different max next summer, Deng's contact isn't an issue. So then it comes down to Ingram vs Randle. I'll take Ingram despite Randle having a great season.

I'm sorry but Marc is not that great anymore, he's injury proned as well. I'd rather resign Brook for cheap than trade for Marc.

This one is a pretty easy call I think. He's likely only getting the minimum anywhere else.

^^^I totally agree which is why it was smart to opt in cause the money wasn't going to be there for him.

Meanwhile, Crawford just opted out of his 4.5M option, but Butler is pushing for Minny to keep him with a new contract. Minny is cap-strapped and it looks like they'll be paying the tax, so armed with just the tax-payer MLE of 5.4M, maybe that entire amount goes to Crawford now.

June 21st: Lakers trade cle 1st, 2020 1st, Zu, and Deng for cap relief
July 1st: Lakers sign PG and Lebron
July 2nd: Kawhi holds press conference: "I want out of SA and I'll only resign with LA."
July 3rd: Lakers s&at randle and kuz for Kawhi.

But Ingram off the bench? Nope. Hell, play lebron at center.

Switch Ingram for Kuzma. Kawhi and BI are redundant.

The thing I found most shocking in that tweet is "Hall of Fame Writer". Must be easier to get into than the basketball HOF

LLLLL at Center? Oh my, I can see the flopping already. No way he agrees to that. It’s intriguing, but he’s no Draymond on defense.

Punk: That's a fun scenario and if Bron was still in his athletic prime I would consider it, but I think either PG or Kawhi at the 2 makes sense. Having both them guys is redundant. My choice would be either Kawhi and LaBron or PG and LaBron to join BI and Zo in the starting lineup. Then do whatever you can to get a rim protector. AD is my first choice... But check out what a legit rim protector does...

The defensive stalwart known as Rubio is currently #3 in defensive win shares during the playoffs. Joe Ingles is 7th...Donovan is 9th. During the regular season, all 3 of those dudes were in the top 20.

    And then there's this...

    You know why?
    Cause of this...

I love me some star power... And LA needs it in the worst way...But if Im allowed to be picky, get me a legit rim protector to pair with a star(s). I rather go that route than just collecting "names" (even if they are considered defensive wings).

Man I'd love to get me some Gobert...

Who else in the league is comparable to him? Embiid? AD? I mean who is REALLY an elite rim protector nowadays?

You are on point regarding the value of an elite rim protector. The problem is there is only one Rudy.
