I understand your position perfectly. If push comes to shove, you'd trade Kuzma to acquire Lebron right? I wouldn't and there lies the difference. He's too old and our core too young. We'll add the right piece when the time is right. Perhaps a star like Simmons or KAT would be available (like Durant was for GSW) when the time is right. In the meantime, we'll role with our core + PG and maybe add Klay next year.

There are 2 ifs. And they are very likely to happen. We would all love that.

    This is incorrect.

My stance is: I'd trade Kuzma or Hart (preferably Hart) to get LeBron AND George. I've never once wavered from that, but I'm glad we finally cleared that up.

Simmons won't be available until 2025. Towns won't be available until 2024. Why in the world would we wait that long? Not to mention at that point we'll have had to pay all of our kids and will not have any cap space available to sign anybody worth the max unless we trade someone or let someone go. So all you've done really is delay the inevitable unless this group can win a ring some time before 2024 with just adding Paul George.

Meanwhile the Warriors are looking more and more vulnerable. Going for it this summer is what we've been waiting for.

Real, what's your stance if all they do is acquire George and resign Randle?

I'd be ecstatic about it! I'd prefer to go as big as possible, but just getting one max player in FA is still a massive, massive win for us.

Inserting Paul George into that lineup instead of KCP means we're fighting for that 8th seed area right now instead of trailing the pack. Give Randle, Lonzo, and Ingram more time to cook and develop and we're talking hopefully in the ballpark of 45+ wins next season.

Nice I'd be pretty content as well. I'm just hoping for something.. We've been walking around in circles in the desert dying of thirst for too long now.

Agreed completely, my friend. That's why I'm so desperate for a big summer. We have an opportunity to do something few teams have done and that's skip the rebuild timeline while still maintaining a pipeline to to the future. We can do it, just have to execute and convince guys it's worth it... I'm cautiously optimistic.

So remember that time last summer Morey traded for all the fringe minimum players in the NBA to get a CP3 deal done without giving up too much of their core? Well, this just happened...

Sources say that he was signed for a quarter, man. True story.

Yeah, glad that is squared away.

I didn't really look up when Simmons and KAT (I think their RFA contracts would actually expire 2023/2024 btw) were going to be available, just saying we could pick up stars along the way. Klay, Butler, Kawhi, Kyrie, AD, Lillard. Giannis will all be available from 2019 thru 2021. Simmons/KAT would be a Durant-type addition in 2023/24 to push us into the unbeatable territory.

Look at that list above and I'm sure Lebron would not be your pick if you had a choice. All those guys are 10 years younger than Lebron, and we'd be forfeiting the chance of signing all of them along the way. But I understand that you want to win now, and I really can't fault you for that.
