For being "so far away" we're now only 5.5 games away from the Playoffs with one of the best records in basketball since the start of the new year. We're doing this without an established star. We're 9th in the NBA in DRtg and 1st in PACE. We're an utterly perfect fit for George who could average 40 points a game here if he wanted to.

Adding LeBron and George together would immediately catapult us to at worst 3rd in the West and make us legitimate threats to Houston and Golden State. I'd say we could be better than Houston even given our depth. Barkley is just a sour old man. He doesn't want us to be in the conversation.

At halftime Barkley was saying the Lakers aren't a good team, we're a bad team, etc. Kenny kind of under his breath said something like, "Well, they have won 11 of 15."

Jerry is a Fixer, and the clips always need fixing. When Big Balmer Brand requested his services, he couldn’t turn him down.

I love the TNT crew (even Chuck)....just love that show cause its entertaining AF.

But how Houston gets so much love is beyond me. Harden and CP3 individually have done nothing in the postseason to make them overwhelming favorites and legitimate contenders to GS. Then consider MDA also gets routinely out-coached in the postseason. Houston is a typical MDA team...world-beaters during the regular season, only to get beat up in the playoffs. Then consider injury concerns that have followed CP3 throughout his cLip tenure.

Lets say our #2018plan comes to fruition, how can one argue that Harden/CP3 are better than LaBron/PG....really?

    Please spurn OKC.

@Jaguar I agree...and that is why I love the Logo so much. Dude is willing to get into s***, just to make it appealing again. He embraces challenges and that obviously explains the cLip gig...but, why not ATL or Sacramento or Orlando...there's a long list of terribly ran organizations....why'd it have to be the cLips haha.

IF the lakers added george and lebron, they leapfrog houston, imo. that's all you want, really. gs can't win forever. it's possible they don't even win this year, imo (they look mentally gassed already).

i'm still nowhere near as optimistic as everyone else that lebron and PG are coming, though. so much time between now and then.

Funny part is Barkley talked about recruiting James to Phoenix... When the discussion started, I knew what he was going to say.

OKC is toast once Melo opts in. Why would PG be staying there if they can't pay him or field a team? Melo isn't leaving all that money on the table. All that aside their bench is atrocious. RW out and where else was there any help for PG last night.

Khmrp: No doubt Allen is done...but that will just show PG that a 36 year old doesn't think OKC is a legit contender so he gave them the deuce...which will encourage PG to do the same this summer.

We made them look like a G-League team last night surprisingly enough... even without Westbrook and Anthony. Yeah...I pray the latter opts in.

Barkley's an a-hole. Open your eyes Chuck this isn't the same team going forward with the talent here and with the money to spend.

Hate tnt production and that sloppy, slobbering, anti-English language clown show at halftime.

I prefer the Players Only broadcasts on Tuesday via NBA TV. It's like hanging out and jiving it with the boys. AND they have Greg Anthony!

I think the Grizzlies are also culpable for the same thing, they somehow didn't trade Tyreke Evans for someone despite teams offering 2 2nd round picks or 2nd round pick and Mudiay. I have no idea what they are doing, they should've traded Marc Gasol earlier too.

Where Jerry will get judged the most is on the draft, his eye for talent has been incredible. I think that's the only saving grace the tenants can hold onto right now.

I usually love the show, but how they carried that same talk into the 3rd quarter when the game was going on... come on guys we got a game to watch and call. Get it together.

I might be the biggest Logo fan here. I love the man, and still wish he was consulting for us as he should be. But, that said, he has somewhat of a revisionist history reputation for drafting talent.

He has one amazing get in Kobe that cannot be denied as the single greatest draft steal in history. He also has some ridiculously bad draft picks on his resume. Google his first round picks as Lakers GM.

Not to mention his insistence we draft Moncrief rather than Magic until Doc Buss ordered him to pick Magic.

Love West and still do.... Forever a Laker in my book. Mike McGee over Larry Nance Sr.?

Last time I checked...our scouting department isn't too shabby either.

82- James Worthy (nice) obvious, but great pick
    83- Byron Scott*- (nice)
    84- Earl Jones *shrug*
    85- AC Green (nice)
86- Ken Barlow- never played in the NBA. Taken before Sabonis, Mark Price, Dennis Rodman, Duckworth, and Hornacek
88- David Rivers- *shrug* see "Earl Jones"
89- Divac (nice) great pick end of the 1st round
    90- Elden Campbell- *shrug*
90- Tony Smith- Actually spent 5 seasons with the team from the end of the draft. Could be worse.
91- Anthony Jones- Never played in the NBA, but was an end-of-the-draft pick
92- Anthony Peeler- Everybody loves Peeler
    92- Duane Cooper- *shrug*
93- George Lynch- Wasn't horrible, but we didn't miss on much either
    93- Nick Van Exel- (nice)
    94- Eddie Jones- (nice)
95- Frankie King- I honestly don't remember this person.
    96- Kobe Bryant*- GOAT
96- Derek Fisher- Rock solid pick.
    97- Dejuan Wheat- *shrug*
    97- Paul Rogers- *shrug*
    98- Tyronne Lue*- Not bad
    98- Sam Jacobsen- *shrug*
98- Ruben Patterson- Gross. Also a big mistake taken one pick before Rashard Lewis.
99- Devean George- Uh oh. One pick before Kirilenko... Oh no.
99- John Celestand- Who? Only mistake was Manu going at 59, but who could see that coming?
