    Deng dumping site?

Morey is looking for a place to take a dump too.

Also Hood feels like he's going to get moved.
And the Cavs might as well move IT while they can, cause whether its the players, coaches or fans, ain't no one seem to like this dude.

Meanwhile BK lost again (f***ing idiots) and now its projected to be the 6th overall pick. That just gives Gilbert more incentive to hang onto the pick. LeByebye 2.0?

Per Stein, Clips are looking for a 1st round pick for him.

Also he can only be traded by himself and can't be aggregated with outgoing player salary in a trade.

For the Lakers it is far more important to put together a solid season than to create cap space.

Somebody in this damn organization needs to understand that FAs aren't coming to a 20 something win team. No matter what.

You need to show real progress for superstars to see a chance to win. They can get max money everywhere. They ain't going to a team which loses 70% of the time. Its not fun.

    Well

    1) we've already shown tremendous progress. I've posted the info around: less blow outs, wins against high level competition, on pace for over 30 wins which is a decent jump from last season and a large jump from two years ago. Defense is near top 10 with no outright elite defenders.

    2) LeBron joined a 33 win team in Cleveland. I know that's an outlier but we're dealing with the same guy. George also expressed a desire to come home to a 20 something win team.

    3) They won't be able to get a max anywhere this summer. As of today only 5 teams will have max slots. Those teams are generally terrible with the exception of Indiana who is playing well. Money is extremely tight this summer. There won't be that much opportunity.

I do agree that we need to be competitive but we're also fairly unique in that we have a fairly easy path to two max deals while being fairly competitive as well. I don't think the cap space is useless. The league is all zigging one way and we have an opportunity to zag.

i'm all for going in the opposite direction of the trend, but you have to be open to all chances to capitalize. use the space to get assets now; don't roll it over if it doesn't work, and don't give up more assets to get more space when you're already ahead in that game.

Since 1st rounders are at a premium, you could see a bunch of 2nd rounders traded today like Charlotte did for Hernangomez

Woulda been nice to use in a Deng dump, but I doubt we get on the phone with that douche, Pritchard, for the forseeable future.

    Kuz got sources...haha

Forget that Ball boy, you heard of this Nuts fella?

That Spurs/Clippers trade would be nice. I’m sure Bradley would get much better under Pop, and Jerry would make the most of that pick.

I only do it though if I know Leonard is coming back. Why give up a first rounder for a guy in the last year of his deal unless they know they can take a shot at this thing in May?

Why would the Spurs give up a 1st round pick for Bradley who is an FA this summer? Danny Green's contract isn't even that bad...

Yeah I have no idea why a 1st would be included.

That to me sounds like a leak from the Clippers trying to increase Bradley's value.

Which may be tough at this point. Bradley, IT and Crowder have taken a step back (maybe multiple steps in a couple cases) after leaving the friendly confines of Brad Stevens system.

Put the popcorn away and snuggle up next to them crickets....this one projects to be a snoozer.

On that note, we do have a roster spot open still.
FYI: March 1st is deadline for all buyout/waive candidates to join a roster to be eligible for postseason activity.

Buu but, could we still have him in a Lakers jersey for the dunk contest?

It might be OK. Clarkson getting moved isn't the end of the world. We have Nance and Kuz both at the pf spot as well. What it tells me is we think we have a legitimate chance of signing a big free agent this offseason. The front office wouldn't be dumping Clarkson now in order to clear space for 2019. He'd be easier and cheaper to move next season at the trade deadline.

    Clarkson+Nance for a 1st and that's final.
