Well .... just remember who's behind the scenes pulling the strings now. Don't be quick to underestimate the planning and plotting of Jerry West.

Clippers go full rebuild. Lou Williams to Cleveland now makes too much sense.

Doc Rivers has to be gone soon. He's said he doesn't want to rebuild.

DeAndre Jordan has to be out soon too. Remember when he picked this instead of Dallas? Who would have thought he'd be the last one standing?

Wonder if Jerry would take Randle/Deng for DeAndre?

I love it. The Griffin/Paul Clippers are dead, and they never won a thing. I actually like what they got for him, Harris and Bradley are really good players.

 Yeah that'll work ..... with his well chronicled (therealdeal) fondness for Randle and Jerry just not being bright about ancient Luol.

Here Mr West .... these are the droids you want.

Regarding Cousins and his achilles having an effect on him. Cousins was never an athletic player who relied on that part of his game. I don't really see him struggling to get back to his former self. As for his achilles, just like Kobe's the doctors said that he would never tear it again and that is because of what they do as part of the surgery now-a-days.

Would I still offer him a max, probably, (If we decided to go that route) but I would want to look at Embiid's contract as a guideline to see if we could put any kind of protections in a long term deal just to be safe.

So if they didn't really want to keep Blake, why did they sign Gallinari?

Well speaking for myself regarding Boogie I have to say pre-injury I was starting to question what I thought would be good in bringing him here as I started see comments from basketball types that he too is slow on defense and not good defending the P&R. This achilles injury sure won't allow that part of his game that's lacking to get better.

But explosion suffers. Cousins was not just a lumbering post guy. He could pull down a rebound and lead a break. PG13 is looking less and less likely. Lebron isn't coming here to play with Cousins for half a season coming off an achilles tear. I'd rather stick with our kids than take a chance on Cousins. It's not even like he was a model citizen with a proven winning track record like Wes Matthews or something.

this team will never be good at defending PnR regardless of who's at C, most team dont defend it well at all, isnt that why PnR offense is the trend now?

Randle's been getting better at it though with his quickness and showing on the screens. Not a savant yet but getting better. He's pretty unique and I hope we keep him somehow.

Pieces are starting to come together:

The Clippers are going to try to get into the Paul George/LeBron sweepstakes. I have a feeling they'll crash and burn spectacularly if they do though. Not just because "oh they're the Clippers" but because they promised Blake Griffin he'd be their world and would retire a Clipper with his jersey up in the rafters just a few months ago. Now they've sold him off for a cheap package of role players and picks. They're bound to move DeAndre Jordan here soon, a guy they literally held hostage and forced him to sign a long-term deal with them. That's awful loyalty. Add in that their brand is tarnished and their locker room is one of the more hated in the league...

I don't see how they could really convince anyone of their intentions.
