start taking calls for kcp, lopez n brewer (limited market)....season is done n max plan sound done too. we should be willing to take in "some salary", enough to get a solid 1st but not to much to kill all the cap space

Leave it to Sac to get duped into throwing all that cash at Hill only to get suckered into dealing him to a title team and take on JR Smith and Shump (just speculation on my part, but Sac and their leadership is that bad.)

if they want hill, why not offer up kcp to them? kcp for frye/shump/clev 1st or Osman....shump has 11mill player opt but if we can move jc, shump might be useful to us or maybe he opts out for long term less $ deal? Osman looks promising, clev 1st could turn out to be another kuzma type pick, f the 2max plan, its bogus...we'd be lucky to get 1max guy to come at this rate

Cleveland is targeting DeAndre/Lou from the Clips and GHill from Sac. So far they are balking at giving up the BK pick for any of these targets via Stein, DA, Amick and the Sac Bee.

Also Kemba to NY is being discussed, but Charlotte is looking for a 1st pick or a good young player for Kemba via Woj.

I keep seeing Cleveland attached to all these players, but they're not willing to give up the Brooklyn pick.

Okay... then what are you trading?

kemba to ny makes a lot of sense. i'd trad that rook and change--but charlotte wants to dump contracts in the process...not sure it's worth it.

    ya know...stuff...

probably crowder and osman and thompson is the package. some think osman can ball (i'm not sure), crowder got overrated in boston like everyone does. i think thompson may be a bit underrated at this point, but still overpaid.

Windhorst or Woj (I forget) said the Cavs do not want to give up that pick because they feel they’ll need it if LeBron leaves. If you trade it for a star and win now I think the chances of winning it all go up, but I guess I get the thinking. Jackie Mac said on ATH or SportsNation the other day that she gets the thinking, but the Nets pick is projected at 6 right now, but almost guaranteed to be top 10. If Russ comes back and they start winning it gets even worse. Her point though, was that you’re extremely unlikely to find a star or franchise guy at 6. She pointed out the 6th pick this year was Jonathan Isaac, a guy I totally forgot about. So, if that pick can land a star they’d be dumb not to do it, even if LeBron leaves, they’d most likely have a better player than they’d taken in the lottery.

Management: “We can’t be ‘All in’ if our star player isn’t ‘All in’”

If LLLLL won’t commit, Mgmt should not leverage their future if they end up in a rebuilding situation.

Anyone notice the Heat are neck and neck with the Cavs in the standings? I’m sure that is satisfying for some folks.

right: i'm not sure the pick has the value it had last summer. the nets have won too much. but everyone around here knows my stance: if you can get a prime allstar, you trade anything but a #1 overall pick (the only slot in the draft that reliably produces stars--and even not that reliably).

the problem is that supposedly, there aren't any stars on the market. deandre jordan doesn't count, imo. that pick isn't going to net you cousins or george (who, again, aren't available according to reports). so why trade it?

if they do get desperate for help, they should at least top-3 protect that pick and have it revert to top-5 protected picks for the next few years. that seems like a compromise that allows them to get help now and not risk losing a solid asset in what may become a futile attempt to keep lebron.

Giving up Lonzo at 2 (plus Ingram let's guess) for George wold not have been a smart move. IMO.

However .... and again we can only guess ..... was glad to see Clarkson and Randle (for a period in the first half at least) tearing Indy up. If those 2 were offered for George (maybe even more?) .... then screw you Prickard. Randle has more upside than Sabonis and it was mentioned by someone last night that Clarkson and Olidipo are a push. I think Jordan is more skilled and talented on the offensive end and improving on defense while O is the better defender. At the least that win and their showings especially were infinitely better than Indy coming in here last night and thumping us.

Where's spell check when I really need it instead of telling me Lonzo is Gonzo?

Besides am not myself this morning after learning the Lakers let Serena get away. Should have been put on their show as a paid regular. And where's Jaime and Kelli been lately? Admittedly I don't watch many minutes of pre-game on SSN in advance of the game.

Awww Man. Sorry to break it to you that way. You did say awhile back you were over her. It's near the end of the WMC thread last night.

I said that re Clarkson but Randle has a higher ceiling and is more of a player now than Sabonis. It was just nice to see them play better than the guys they wound up with and contribute to beating their a**.
