@Weezy to Philly's credit, it sounds like they created alot of outs within the contract to cover their a**. But if he stays on the floor and earns max status with incentives, that's roughly $36M per. Goddman...there's a whole lot of trust going on in Philly...that's for sure.
Which reminds me...a wise poster once wrote: "You never go full Philly"

You know Philly is going to get burned somehow, some way. Can’t wait for the bad luck even to happen...

Could just be his age and him exiting prime...could be that the OKC market is already represented by a bigger Jordan Brand athlete in Russ...or it could just be that the small market is going to kill your endorsement appeal. Enjoy it while it lasts OKC

I'd say it's 85% Russell in OKC and 15% Carmelo on the decline meaning lower shoe sales.

yea if shoe deal is dead'ish, I highly doubt he opts out of his final yr, unless OKC win its all, I dont see Melo sacrificing any of his $, whats the point, its not like OKC can go sign someone else if he reups at half his current $.

I was really rooting for Blue before the preseason. He wants to be a Laker so bad, just isn't talented enough

They signed him about 2 days ago, and just released him.

I don't understand why sign if they were going to waive him in short order? Not versed on the contract stuff...could be to set Wear for the G-League?

That the only thing I can think of is that we wanted him for the G-League.

Maybe to get him a little extra pay? Warriors did the same thing, signed someone and released him the same day.

Yeah, but if we did it to get him some extra pay, I would have hoped we did that for Blue.

Last time I heard, I think he didn't have a car and walked to games or practice or something in El Segundo.

San Antonio not planning on being a contender in FA.

This is shocking tbh...with so many high profile FA's next summer I thought surely they woudl make a splash.

San Antonio seems to be relegating itself to mediocrity with Pau, Gay and LMA signed long term...I wonder if Kawhi is cool with this.
