    I just thought it was a fairly obvious statement. If we sign these 2 or even one of them I'm happy, but then there goes any hope of signing any shooters at the same time. Only so many contracts to go around.

    Another reason you don't go all in for a good shooting guard is George next year... Unless hes a 6th man shooter but then youre probably giving up too much.

    With Pope you can have a small ball line up of

    Ball
    Clarkson(George next year)
    Pope
    Ingram
    Randle/Nance/Kuzma

    If we do sign Rondo and Pope i could see a lineup of

    I can see the plan being pope and two max FAs next year. You need someone like Pope to do the dirty work and take on opposing teams best player not named Durant or Lebron(hopefully hes here haha).

    If we sign Pope to multiple years for what he's seeking, I don't think we have room for 2 max free agents next season. Hell he turned down what, 80 mil? Read somewhere he was seeking 20+ mil per, we can't and shouldn't do that. If he signs with us it has to be one year big money.

    KCP would be a score for us this late in the game. He's a young SG with good length, plays solid D, and is a decent 3-point shooter (shot 35% on nearly six 3-point attempts/game last season).

    Also, please no to Rondo.

    No need to be condescending and rude... I have done my research... I'm sure Rondo as a point guard is the worst free throw shooter in the league at 60%. That should tell you the guy is not a shooter when those are gimmes. Do you really think the guy strikes fear into the opposition? If I were an opposing coach, I would let that guy shoot beyond the arc all day long. The guy can't shoot.

    Rondo was over 30% from the arc 4 out of his 12 seasons in the league. I guess I have a different definition of what a shooter is in basketball.

    From the Detroit press their insider source kcp and Lakers have interest. Maybe Rich Paul is convincing him to gain a ton of playing time in the city of Angels (public spotlight) and watch what he can make next year.

    First and foremost, I want the Lakers as a franchise to win and surpass the green slime. If LeBron comes here then I would hope he fulfills that goal. I would support him for that reason and that reason only.

    I really can't stand the guy as I believe he is a narcissist, drama queen...

    Give me KCP and Rondo and call it an offseason. I think I've said this too many times. I think we'll see something as soon as tomorrow since the Nets money that was tied up with Porter is available again.
