My comment had more to do with style. Ball stopper type guy along with two ball dominant players in CP? and Har'en

Not to mention the scuttlebutt is D'Antoni and Carmelo HATE each other. Or at least Carmelo hates D'Antoni.

i don't think anthony will be a ballstopper there. i don't think he's ever played on a team that wasn't better off with him dominating the ball, quite frankly. maybe that good denver team?

i think the harden/cp pairing is more problematic, simply because i'm not sure i've ever seen either effectively play off the ball. reminds me of when lebron/wade played together--the whole was less than the sum of the parts.

i'm guessing they've dealt with that, given that anthony wants to play in houston and dantoni isn't on his way out.

I guess so, I just want them to be dramatic and see sparks fly between them again. :D

My guess is D'Antoni has a little more capital now with players after he turned Harden and a bunch of role players into a 55 win team. Melo has to see that if you totally buy in, the system works. Couple that with the fact that he's playing with a member of team Banana boat, it'll be fine from that perspective. The Harden/CP3 combination will be more problematic, as abeer3 said. They'll make it work to an extent I believe, but those two aren't peas and carrots.

We have so little going on in free agency we are discussing Houston's in-depth. :D I don't get a Melo trade for them either, but that certainly is an 'Antoni roster, all O, no D.

You know before when things got this quiet it usually meant Mitch was working on something big...

Now I think there's just not much going on. :D

Not really... he's pretty terrible these days. I think Tyler Ennis is better.

Ive concluded we are not going to catch much with one year bait in this new contract age. Every time you hear the name of a scrub to fill out the roster, we over praise what they can bring to the team, then hear they are getting 3 or 4yr deals for 8 figure money. Lakers really just have to stay the course for the big payoff next year.

Just bad timing to be in this bloated contract environment, while not having a star to build around, having to wait yet another year for a star, and in the meantime having to feed the savage laker fans with more young appetizers to kill time.
