...same but we had Brewer for the same role last season. We have Nwada now who is younger with the same possibilities.

Thabo's numbers are remarkably consistent, but he is a truly terrible shooter. I'd take him though just because he can help lead the kids defensively.

I don't think KCP is worth dumping assets for, but interesting hearing the Lakers are interested in him that much... I think it really has to do with Klutch and LeBron... Although I definitely could be reading too much into that.

Rondo is starting to look pretty good.

After watching Vander Blue play you realize it could always be worse.

I want KCP here. I like Hart and Nwaba but they need years of development, period. Can't have them all. Since we're going full force on Lonzo it would be nice bolster the guard rotation with proven players.

Detroit screwed him out of a his RFA deal with a trade and now he's likely be super motivated to get paid next year. Either way the 1 yr rental would be beneficial for us. Quick read on his situation:

D League MVP and still not on an NBA roster. Pretty easy to see why. He kills ball movement like the Kardashians kill careers.

It's not hard to be D-League MVP if you've got the ball the whole time apparently.

to those saying thabo can't shoot...you do realize he shoots a better percentage from three than like, our whole team, right?

btw, kcp had an off-court issue (arrest for dui, i think). wonder if there's more to it. can't figure out why nobody (including his own team) doesn't want him.

34% on 2 attempts isn't all that great, clarkson shoots 33% but on 4 attempts, its no like anyone is going to be dealthly concerned when they see thabo standing at the 3pt line

you are correct. but they may try to stay within a step of him in the corner, which is more than they'll do for brewer, nwaba, or hart. and maybe clarkson, whom they play for the drive.

    also, defense.

I think that Thabo shoots the 3 well from the corners.

He shot 34.2% but took less than 2 a game. He has only had one truly great year where he shot over 40% from three and took more than three long balls a game, but that was back in 2012/2013. He has a career average of 34.5% which is still below league average so no I wouldn't consider him a shooter. He's also missed 20 or more games in three of the last four seasons, so if we got him I'm not spending a lot. I would sign him, but I'm not signing him to be a shooter that's all. I'm signing him for some professionalism and defensive principles. I am definitely interested in a cheap veteran defender though.

Yeah KCP was arrested for OWI. He plead guilty and will serve a suspension of two games next season. I'd be surprised if there was any more to the story, but it's possible some teams don't want a drunk driver on their team? I don't know.
