Don't mind Ennis back. JC is expendable to me, though. I'm wondering if we could attach him and a draft pick to a team that needs guard help that can absorb cap space. I'd have Hart take his minutes.

Actually, re-reading that tweet, I'm wondering if Woj meant we get a commitment from KCP for 1-year at 17 million with the intention of shedding cap space by next summer, and signing him long-term?

If that's the case, I don't know if KCP does that; he's only 24. Does he want the long-term security now or does a take a chance on himself sign a shorter deal and give us the opportunity to shed the cap space we need to sign him long-term?

How good is this cat like for real. Like worth moving Clark for a 2nd?...

Im telling yall i think we should show case Clark and try to sell high. I know hes not the greatest shooter but have his butt drive non stop and be deadly within 15 feet. We finally have a C that can shoot outside. Paint will be clear.

Why is everyone so eager to get rid of Clarkson? We haven't even see any of the new rookies play any mins. Not to mention currently we have only Clarkson and Hart as the SG position.

I only got interested in KCP today lol I saw a real bulldog defender against Curry. This plan actually makes sense except the financial part

Probably trying to see if he's worth investing in... doesn't seem like it does if we get George.

i think it's because he's stagnated/regressed in his development and isn't a fantastic fit for the preferred style of play. then again, we're going after inferior versions of him in FA, so i'm guessing the FO isn't as upset with him as fans. i'd keep him, honestly. he's pretty close to worth his salary (especially considering when he signed--looks like a relative steal there!) and is a proven nba bench player.

hart's got to hit threes if he wants to play, and he's not close to doing that right now.

if the lakers did manage to sign kcp, i'd guess clarkson becomes expendable.

all of this assumes we're trying to win, though, and i kinda question that at this point.

Working on the FA updates. It looks like Troy Williams is still available. He has already been with two different teams, and he's coming off a minimum salary contract. His overall numbers for the season aren't good, but his post-ASB numbers started to look MUCH better. He'd be in the Thabo/Tony Allen/Shaun Livingston range if he could carry that success throughout the season. He shot 50% on FGs, 38% on threes, and 86% on FTs in limited time. Solid defender, solid shooter. Not a high skill level on O.

FORWARD - I have to admit that Beasley intrigues me. Can create his own shot. Stop-gap at this point in his career.
    CENTER - Lopez...Zu...Bryant. Not necessary.

I was wondering why they'd renounce him, didn't realize he was 33 already, thought he was younger for some reason.

just for mentoring purposes. he defends; not a great shooter but better than anyone we've got right now (more sadness and truth). i'm not concerned about his age given the one-year deal.
