    Probably in the minority, but I'm fine with not getting a lot of these free agents. Most of them are old, overpaid, or just not that good or all the above. The roster isn't in the best of shape, but none of these guys the Lakers could've potentially signed move the needle for me.

    I'm still very excited for the outlook of this team. Tomorrow night get our first look at Lonzo Ball. Get to see them out there with a couple of promising young players such as Ingram and Zubac. It's only the beginning, but it should be fun seeing Lonzo develop chemistry with his new teammates and hopefully bringing an exciting brand of basketball back to the Lakers.

    Its probably better to get 2 players for the 17 mil rather than 1 at this stage.

    I'm glad a lot of this teams are using all their money this year. Looking forward to next year having a ton of cap space vs most other teams are stuck with not enough to offer Max deals

    Houston is a lot closer to a championship than Los Angeles is so it makes sense to go all in for them.

    For the Lakers it doesn't considering the big fish available next year.

    sac will be interesting to watch. they went and got guys to try and compete right now (hill, zbo, carter). we punted. the latter may end up looking like the better decision, but i'll still be watching...

    edit: i'm not as sold on rudy gay recovering from an achilles tear and helping SA. i think maybe the spurs hype train is driving that narrative. i think they're going to drop next year if this is their only addition.

    gay doesn't strike me as a pop-type player but at least now they have someone other than kawhi who can score

    kind of surprised carter didn't try to team up with CLE or GS to win a ring. more respect to him

    meanwhile, we still haven't signed anyone. i guess rob and magic don't plan to actually work until next summer
