If youre gonna have that mentality while were not fully done then fine and the others teams that did improve are fighting for an eighth spot after spending boatloads of money just to get swept by the warriors lol.

I agree with you. I'm not expecting playoffs, but this team will be highly competitive and again I will not discount Lonzo's ability to get the absolute most out of his teammates and elevate their play and take this team somewhere nobody thought he could.

So...can we see all these "dominos" fall so we can sign someone so people could stop complaining only to complain after realizing its an old vet on a 1 year deal that no one wants supposedly.

Damn it Magic what are you doing!

I hate the C Bags, no doubt.

However, Hayward is a nice piece to add. Very nice.

Maybe players want long-term security? Prior to Moz and Deng signing their awful contracts that we offered, take a look at the 1-year contracts of players that ultimately signed w/us...not very good. We shouldn't have expected anything different this year...

How much better are those 6-8 spot teams. We won 26 games last year with tanking.. When everything is all said and done and we use the rest of our space, i dont see why a 40 win season would be luda'. Just my own opinion.

Randle,Ingram,Ball are serious emerge candidates...then you have Nance,Hart and Kuzma who may surprise and give you good bench contribution.

I don't know if you were referring to my post here or not, but if so I said "currently", I know we aren't done yet. As our roster sits now it's not terrible, the West is just stacked. Worst in the West is still like 10/11/12 in the East. If we don't sign a couple quality free agents that can contribute I don't see us winning a bunch. I'm not being negative, I don't feel down as I say this, it's what I realistically see currently. I think we will be much more competitive than last season though, we just won't pull off a lot of wins in the end, still a much better position to be in, the tank is over and done with.

That's why think we are a Darkhorse. I wouldn't have put the Kings there if they didn't sign Hill. I think Jazz have a shot but they were a 4 seed last yr with Hayward.

To make the playoffs in the WCF it will take at least 42 wins

Which was the point of my post. Magic and Pelinka have said it numerous times, they want to preserve the 2018 cap. While some names might get some excited (like Hill), ultimately another team will most likely offer multiple years thus killing our chances.

The type of player we are going to get is not going to be perfect obviously, whether it be because they are old, injury prone, role player, etc.

Did you guys just forget about the fact that Lavar already announced that we're making the playoffs? You can't speak that out of existence.

To be in the playoffs we have to be better than the Blazers last season and I don't see that yet. They have a true star in Lillard, and a 2nd tier star and the 2016 most improved player in McCollum. We don't have players like that yet. A couple of them could get there, but I don't see it yet.

I wouldn't want to be Portland. They're screwed with some really bad deals. Olshey who I really like screwed up Mitch/Jimbo style last yr. look at Evan Turner and the Crabbe contracts!
