Guess Hill was in a better position than Redick.

CJ Miles or Waiters for me. We'll see how it goes, though.

Can't be mad with him, we probably weren't willing to give him that lengthy a contract.

17.6 million in space or something like that; front-load the best player in the market. If not split it, and get two vets.

It's hard to admit, but right now the Lakers are looking like the second worst team in the West next season.

While losing out on Hill isn't huge in a vacuum, watching him walk to the Kings is painful since it elevates them above us barring dramatic improvements from our young players.

I don't expect the Lakers to make the playoffs, but I am begging them to improve enough to prevent next year's pick from going to Boston.

At this point, I feel Magic and Rob should absorb a player from another team into their cap space with an attached asset. Rondo doesn't do it for me, and more importantly he won't be enough to help the Lakers win more games.

Forgot about CJ. He seems to be flying under the radar. I'd definitely like him too.

Not much they can do that wouldn't jeopardize their pursuit of George and friends.

Honestly, even with this I'm going to count on anything major out of Sacramento this season. I don't think they're significantly better than us.

But yes we are going to be one of the worst teams in the West just because basically every good player in the league is in this conference now. It's a bummer, but oh well. We've got bigger fish to fry.

Hayward going to Boston - Means Waiters probably going back to Miami.

I'm not down about not signing George Hill because he wasn't even on my radar until yesterday (was yesterday right?). I never thought we'd even meet with him, and then it became apparent after he met with us and didn't agree to anything, that he probably wanted multiple years. Have to give the Kings credit, quietly having a solid free agency after having an excellent draft.

Good veteran pickups for the Kings.

This isn't some indictment on our ability to attract free agents, and we can't blame Hill at all. He took a significantly better deal that we could not offer.

But after getting excited at the chance of getting Hill, Rondo and Waiters aren't very attractive options at all. I guess if we do our homework and Rondo really was a good locker room presence last year (but then why'd he get cut?), it wouldn't be the worst thing to sign him to a cheap 1 year contract.

But I also wouldn't be opposed to just signing Ennis to an even cheaper 1 year deal, throw out a bunch of camp invites to shooters, and then roll into next year with our current squad. We're not making the playoffs regardless and none of the current available free agents really make us that much better. Just keep the cap space in case it allows for some flexibility in a trade where we need to absorb a contract.

What the f*** is taking Hayward so long? Make up your mind dude. You're not good enough to be dragging this thing out like you're LeBron or KD.
