    Redick can't defend.

Edit: I don't understand your point. Hill is in a better position than Redick. So if Redick got $23 for a year, why would Hill think a long term deal is in the offing next year?

    Yes please to George Hill..
Also. With the $$ that other Teams are tying up, Our Summer 2018 plan is making more & more sense.

How is Hill in a better position than Reddick?

If he was in a better position he'd have a 3 yr $60mm+ deal on the table

Teams like Denver and Clips don't have the cap space to pay him. Honestly what alternatives are out there for him?

I don't even know what you mean. If he were in a better position he'd have a three year, $60 m contract? Why?

He offers a lot more, on both sides of the court and he's younger. That's why he should look long term now. What will be available for him next year?

George Hill? Yes, please! Perfect fit, amazing experience, true professional, good shooter, 2-way player. Together with Lopez, puts us into 40-win territory. Well, if everyone's healthy for most of the season, obviously.

I'm just saying maybe the long term deals aren't out there. You can't "force" a market.

Maybe the Kings, Bulls, or Mavs may come into the picture.

Phil did thank the fans for the "intercourse" .... quote unquote. He sounds like Deng .... salty.... thinks he did a good job.

I think teams are hesitant of guaranteeing multiple years and dollars because of Hill's injury history.

This is basically the only thing that makes sense. If Hill can't get long-term deals in place, why not go to a big market and try to cash in? The rumors of next summer being a big splash are interesting too. Is it worth it to take the big deal now and maybe get to hang around next summer if everything comes to fruition? It's not like getting paid 17 million for a year in Los Angeles could ever really be a terrible thing. The only thing I can think of is he's not seeing the long-term money he wanted. Maybe he's getting 3 year deals, but they're in the 30-40 year range. Why not get most of that in one year and then try to get the same offer the next summer?

I still think it's a long-shot, but I'm 100% in on this. George is a good player, would give us gravitas, and would legitimize the FO in their pursuit of players. A starting lineup of Hill/Lonzo/Ingram/Randle/Lopez would be fun, interesting, and would fit together surprisingly well. The only one who may be an odd egg is Ingram if he isn't knocking down shots, but they'd have solid defensive versatility, good shooting... man. This would be a steal if Rob/Magic can pull it off.
