Don't know about the SAS - Lakers connection but Screamin A should STFU ;). Durant hates him, hell, he might not consider us just to prove a point.

I say we go gunning to land Maxiell. Let's start up a crowd sourcing campaign for Mitch to sign him and have him chase Byron out of the damn arena for good.

Damn, that shot to the head looked personal. I wonder what Maxiell did before that

Wonder what kind of payday big Al expects come this summer. He isn't max material and gonna be 30 in June, just entering the north of prime. Could be like a Nene and be a more than serviceable center the last 5 years of his career. Just wondering what teams are going to throw at him.

I've been wondering bout him too. He's not max money material, but I could see him getting the max with contracts only being 4 years now. I think Batum and Barnes are getting max or near max deals and neither one of them is worth it either.

I think Al gets max, and I bet he's one of the first to get it. I'm not saying I love the thought of throwing $100M at him for four seasons, but that's the new CBA.

Al Horford is the Big I want most. I think he'd be a great complement for Russell and Randle. He can pick and roll, pick and pop, knock down the outside jumper to make room for Randle in the post. No he is not a shot blocker per se, but man it would be great to have an offensive player who could work with our young guns.

Barnes would certainly be available then. In fact he might be available for less than the max. I'd go that route if Durant went to the Warriors.

If Durant went to the Warriors, I'm not sure anyone else is winning a championship for the next 3-5 years.

no kidding. if this happens I think Barnes and whiteside would be the way to go for us. Ride out the next 5 years of GSW dominance letting our youth mature and become their own dynasty right after.

    Doomsday scenario:

KD to the Warriors, Luke takes over as their HC, they average 200 ppg and our FO settles for long range tanking by extending Byron for 4 more years.

I think KD sticks in OKC . Don't worry, though. With Byron leading the way, we are going straight to the top

    Of the lottery...

^^ Yikes. I would lose some respect for KD if he chooses to go to Golden State. There would be no competition in the league basically. But I do understand that being the number one superstar on the youth movement Lakers would be a pretty hard sell versus stacking up championships on the Warriors. Not sure there's enough balls to go around there though between Curry, Klay, Green and KD.
