I only have one solid prediction. Spurs/Grizzlies will remain one of the most if not the most boring playoff matches ever.
West First Round: (1) Golden State Warriors vs (8) Portland Trail Blazers (smash, 4-0) (2) San Antonio Spurs vs (7) Memphis Grizzlies (smash, 4-1) (3) Houston Rockets vs (6) Oklahoma City Thunder (smash, 4-1--okc plays about as much d as houston--don't challenge pringles at his own game) (4) Utah Jazz vs (5) Los Angeles Clippers (clips 4-2, no stars on jazz) East First Round: (1) Boston C Bags vs (8) Chicago Bulls (4-2, closer than people expect) (2) Cleveland Cavaliers vs (7) Indiana Pacers (4-1, cavs wake up) (3) Toronto Raptors vs (6) Milwaukee Bucks (4-3, toronto's got the guards and d) (4) Washington Wizards vs (5) Atlanta Hawks (4-2, 'zards in the "who gives a f***" bowl)
Golden State and San Antonio should have no issues dispatching their opponents respectively. Don't think Memphis has the depth to contend with the Spurs or a difference maker like Kawhi. These teams played last year in this same round, but no Mike Conley. I don't see them getting swept again, but Spurs are still clearly better. Spurs in 5. Portland doesn't have any depth or the size to hurt Golden State. That small back court is a defensive disaster especially against Steph and Klay. The Warriors dispatched them in 5 last year and that was without a healthy Steph. Warriors sweep. Houston/OKC should be a great series. Really the both matchups by far are that one along with Utah/Clippers. I like OKC in this one. Think Westbrook is just on another level. Both teams are very reliant on their superstar player. It might just come down to who's able to carry his team better. Think OKC can also pound Houston on the glass and make them play slower. OKC wins in 7. Utah/Clippers as I mentioned. Great matchup. This might be and probably is the last round for the Clippers. They still have the same issues. Too reliant on Chris Paul and lack of depth. Utah is a great defensive team that should be able to use their size and length to frustrate the Clippers. Going with Utah in 6. Boston/Chicago is semi interesting. Wade is back for Chicago. Jimmy Butler will be the second best player in this series behind only Thomas and certaintly has the ability to be the best at times. Really it's more about Boston and their flaws. Inability to rebound, lack of offensive firepower, their offense is largely centered around Thomas. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one, but I like the Bulls to pull off the upset. Bulls in 6. Cleveland/Indiana will be short and sweet. Yes the Cavaliers are struggling, but until someone can actually beat them in the East I won't believe it. The Pacers are Paul George and that's all they got going for them. He can maybe win them a game or two, but no way are the Cavaliers losing here. Cavaliers in 5. Toronto/Milwaukee. I think the Bucks have the best all around player in the Greek Freak. Toronto is certaintly better with Ibaka in the middle. Hard to really get a feel for this one, but with how Lowry and DeRozan tend to disappear come playoff time I'll go with another upset. Milwaukee in 7. Last one. We got Washington/Atlanta. Another toss up. Atlanta coming in with a lot of confidence of two big wins over the Cavaliers. Wizards have the talent advantage, but the Hawks still have very good depth. Think home court makes the difference. Washington in 7.
Cavaliers will probably be in the Finals again. They're a very flawed team, but I just don't think anyone in the East is good enough to overtake them. LeBron has made 7 of the last 10 Finals. Obviously the East sucks and we know LeBron wouldn't have done in the West, but still the guy is a great basketball player. One of the best ever. Until he isn't playing in June it's hard to fathom.
Warriors sweep. Too much firepower. Spurs in 5. "Boring" match up. Rockets in 5. Too much firepower Jazz in 7. Two teams on opposite sides of the road. C Bags in 6. Toss up really. Cavs in 5. They flip the switch and not much PG could do. Raptors in 6. Bucks too young, try again next year. Wizards in 5. Who cares?
Can we just fast forward to the WCF and ECF ? best of 25. Warriors and Spurs should be a series for the ages. No matter who wins, the only thing I really want is to see Bron go home crying.

I agree with this. I also think the Warriors will win it out mainly because of said flaws with the Cavs.

Of that list of first round matchups, the only one I want to see is Houston VS. OKC. The rest are uninteresting to me, although I hope Utah bounces the Clippers in 4. Oh, and I never WANT LaBronz to win... but I'll be damned if I ever want to see the C Bags make a deep playoff run until we can stomp them again in the finals.
I just want to say this is what I think is going to happen, not what I want to have happen. West First Round: (1) Golden State Warriors vs (8) Portland Trail Blazers - GSW in 5 (2) San Antonio Spurs vs (7) Memphis Grizzlies - SAS in 5 (3) Houston Rockets vs (6) Oklahoma City Thunder - HOU in 6 (4) Los Angeles Clippers vs (5) Utah Jazz - UTA in 6 East First Round: (1) ****** ******* vs (8) Chicago Bulls - ***** in 5 (2) Cleveland Cavaliers vs (7) Indiana Pacers - CLE in 4 (3) Toronto Raptors vs (6) Milwaukee Bucks - TOR in 6 (4) Washington Wizards vs (5) Atlanta Hawks - WAS in 5
Paul George going off. Showing exactly why we all want him in Los Angeles. He's a legit superstar, franchise player, and is keeping a mediocre team competitive against the defending champs and going right at the best player in the world.
Can I be the jerk who says James was 9th in scoring in in 08 for Team USA. They don't have mpg, but I hardly seems fair to call him out for it when Brown was giving more minutes to Boozer and RJ. Back to the game. Turner needs to show up. They did a good job of slowing down Kryie. Frye cannot have 11 points. Lowry looks like the weak link. In other news, water is wet.
Cavs team has flaws but they're still making the Finals. SA better beat GSW, otherwise Kang lifts another trophy...
