I hope Steve becomes an assistant coach for all the young guys on our team - shooting, passing...

Well Russell showed his age, but did show his BB IQ and ball handling skill. Johnson showed his NBA ready body and toughness. His skills looked suspect. Towns did his thing in an ugly slow paced game but not enough to impress. Looking forward to watching Kaminisky tomorrow to see if he can match that terrific game last night. And Okafur... looked solid, again want to see him play tomorrow.

If we end up 5th both Johnson and WCS should be considered, as well as a number of other guys. WCS could be a very good fit with Randle, although I still think this is essentially a 4 person draft (or maybe 3 depending on how Mudiay is viewed).

These games proved that there is Okafor at #1, then there's everyone else.

He blocks shots and rebounds like crazy. That's all I know - scrawny, too. Taller Wes Johnson looking.

Anyone interested in Jerian Grant? I think we'd talked about him a dozen pages back or so. He has the clutch gene.

I love his game. I think he may be playing his way into the lottery. Definitely mid first round.

DE has him going in the mid-teens. Big, athletic, and like you said clutch. I dig him but it'd take some funky circumstances to get to him.

There was that scenario I discussed elsewhere by which we package Hill and later pick to move up to Atlanta's pick. Might be a stretch at 9, but I dunno.

I'm with you. I'd definitely try to package our picks/Hill and move up to get another high impact kid. Jerian Grant, Frank Kaminsky, and Sam Dekker are all kids I'd very much like to get if we can.

His lack of athleticism just might be problematic nor does he have the strength to finish through contact right now. I still love parts of his game but he'll need some work.

That moment of hesitation is exactly what he needs in the NBA. Beautiful. Like I said very Ginobili like.

Definitely. I like Grant. If we fall out of the top 3, I wouldn't mind grabbing a WCS then moving up for a Jerian Grant. That'd work for me.

If we get Okafor/Towns and don't think we can afford to keep Ellington, I'd try to get RJ Hunter from Georgia State with Houston's pick. He'd really help give the bigs some breathing room in the post.

Okafor is best player coming out of college. He's also the best bet coming into the league and helping your team right away. I'd grab him.

With Julius' work ethic, I have a feeling he'll be able to develop a decent enough jumper where spacing won't be that much of an issue.

Grab a wing Green/Carroll to that could guard multiple positions, space the floor, add athleticism, and I think it could work out.

Just first minutes today wow. Is he bigger than Duncan when he came out of college at an older age, at least frame and build? Reminds me of Timmy out there. Strong.
