    No.

I think the worse thing we could do is get cute or fancy. If you get the top pick, you take Okafor and keep it moving.

Exactly. You're looking at a potential double-double machine and ROY coming straight out of college into the NBA, IMO. You take that over what anyone offers, period.

Hopefully it doesnt hurt as much as its being reported for them. He was a great player for them coming off the bench.

Kareem tops Hakeem in almost every category. Hakeem won defensive player of the year twice and Kareem never did but they were both all defensive first team 5 times. Kareem was MVP 6 times to Hakeem's 1 and All NBA 1st team 10 times to Hakeem's 6. Both finals MVP twice. Hakeem led the league in blocks twice to Kareem's one. Kareem even had a longer career. I mean if one's not avail you take the other and I absolutely love Hakeem but Kareem's greatness gets overlooked so much I just had to respond. I get your point about Hakeem though, phenominal player. I will say that Hakeem had the largest repertoire of skills of any big but if we're talking about greatness, Kareem's got that locked up.

I love Kareem and consider him the most talented center ever but nobody beats The Big Dipper on being the best two way center ever.

Back to my subtopic, I didn't know the Sixers has a thing on not lifting weights, lol. Anyway Embiid with Mudiay or Johnson as against Okafor, I think you take a chance. The C Bags did trading the 1st pick Joe Barry Carroll for McHale and Parish which got them almost a decade and a half of competitiveness. Okafor may turn out to be Duncan but he'll most likely be Al Jefferson, not that it's a bad thing being a perennial candidate for All NBA. Embiid looks like he has tremendous upside in the right environment. I don't think the losing culture has stained him permanently add him to Randle and S. Johnson and we'll have our team for the next 15 years.

Cauley-Stein is now in my top 5, personally.

Jerian Grant scores 12 points in 28 seconds to force OT vs. then #11 Louisville (2013). Kobe-esque.

The following week or so have changed my mind...

Mudiay. Mudiay's is just outside of my top 5; I think he's a legit top 10 talent, but I value centers above all else, and considering that procuring one is very expensive; I'd rather just draft one in this class that's coming out this years class this summer. Plus, Cauley-Stein is easier for me to gauge, and I think we get a good player who at the very least who's going to be very good defender at the next level.

I laugh at anyone who thinks Mudiay is going to just come in Day 1 and make an impact. You think Clarkson needs work?? Mudiay is a (2-3 years) project in my opinion. I would only draft him after the top 5 and maybe even a little later

We had a very hard time moving up in the draft last year to grab Clarkson; we'd paid 1.8 million dollars for his rights to the Wizards. I mentioned this earlier; offer cash, Hill, your late 1st and whatever else you have to move up to grab Jerian, IMO. I love me some Russell, but I'd draft a center and a PG later on if I could

Any combination of Towns, Okafor, Cauley-Stein with Jerian, and I'm good.
