Towns is really athletic, but that is part of the problem to me. It's pretty clear he's not balanced in his strength training. He needs to strength his legs and trunk. He needs to get stronger to take the load he's putting off of those knees or he could end up being like Bynum.

Like I've said, I like Towns. I think he's got long-term potential. I just think Okafor is a better shot right now. Okafor has NBA+ footwork already in the post. He's a good positional rebounder. No Okafor won't be a shot blocker, but he's got so much else going for him I'll forgive it for now.

I agree that I would take him over Mudiay right but even though after watching that Larry Brown video where he talked about the kid I am just a little intrigued.

With that said my draft board looks like this right now:
    1) Okafor
    2) Russell
    3) Towns
    4) Johnson
    5) Mudiay

But I could easily take Johnson at 3 instead of Towns and be alright with that too

    My Draft Board

    1. Okafor (by a pretty considerable margin for me)
    2. Russell
    3. Johnson
    4. Towns
    5. Savory Griddles

I just think Okafor is a better fit next to Randle and potentially Love.

I've been looking at PG's that we could possibly draft later on with our Houston pick. I do like Tyus but his size has discouraged me the last day or so I've been analyzing our PG situation; I would like someone physically bigger; just preference. I like a big back-court Delon Wright, Jerian Grant, George Lucas, are all guys that are intriguing too me. I would do this even with the ability we have in cap space to go after one, and we did land one, it'd be nice to have another cost controlled guard learning from someone like a Dragic or any other PG we could potentially acquire.

Anyone else have any thoughts on PG's or someone too look at potentially if we opt for a Center or Small Foward during the draft???

If we end up with Okafor I think it's almost a lock we draft Tyus. They're very close friends and families. I think it's very natural for the two of them to end up in the same spot.

Given that premise, I understand; what if we take Towns or Johnson? I think another PG later on in the draft is quite possible...

I don't have any other PG prospects that far down in the draft. What I've read is this is a REALLY weak PG draft. One name that I saw from DraftExpress that's not a traditional PG, but has guard skills is George Lucas. Check him out. He's got HUGE hands.

Too bad, because we really need a PG. And a SF, of course.

Yeah, that kid George Lucas is incredibly raw; 2-3 year project at the very least. Jerian Grant has some ability and probably one of the better PG's I've seen...I'll keep a closer eye on him...

Grant is having a terrific year playing along side Russell, Saw him close out the Duke game with clutch shots. He's ave 17/3/6 and is a great shooter at 50%. Looks good on D too. Big guy that likes contact...I think he'd be a solid late round pick if we still need a PG

Hollis Jefferson is a freakish athlete, great defender, but can't shoot a lick.

Yes, but if he could get that jumper 'right', he's going to be be a 3&D guy; He's long, athletic, quick laterally, and moves his feet very well; very fundamentally sound on the defensive end. He uses his physical tool all really well, too. I was watching his scouting report facing Deleon Wright who plays the PG position the other day...Deleon strugged against Hollis who was a beast on that end defending; if we do get a Center or PG with our potential lotto pick, Hollis-Jefferson might be a good pickup later on in the draft; He needs to work on that jumper, though.

Considering what Real said about this PG class, and what I'm witnessing watching these scouting reports the last 2 days, I'd much rather go something like Towns/Hollis-Jefferson or just SF period. Address the PG situation during the Free Agency period...

Problem is I don't think he'll be there nor Tyus. Their stocks are rising. That's why I mentioned maybe just filling another need and grabbing an SF...

George Lucas has an incredible name for a point guard with an incredible possible moniker "The Director" as he directs the offense.
