^If we make out of the offseason with that team, that would be amazing. Personally I'd like a veteran big man in that mix though. But man, don't tease like that Real.

I totally agree, that's why I want Davis back. He's still only 26 or 27 years old, but he's been around the block already and the way he carries himself screams professionalism. I'm skeptical that we get EITHER Hollis-Jefferson or Upshaw, let alone both.

If we draft Upshaw I'd send him to a Buddhist monastery in Tibet for maybe 3 years. That'll sober him up just in time for our title run.

Davis would be great for that rotation. But I honestly don't think we're coming out with those guys. I think we have Okafor and then it's up for grabs. I honestly believe RHJ and Anderson are gone before 27, and if Upshaw's ticker is not a real issue, he gets scooped up in the second round before we can grab him. The C Bags and Rockets could really use him. I am still wondering if we work out a "wink, wink" deal with one of the teams that has one of the RFA sfs where we send both our picks in some sort of sign and trade for Harris or something like that.

I heard this crazy rumor that Cleveland promised Upshaw they'd pick him at 24 where they are slotted...just a rumor.

I have Rakeem Christmas, Dakari Johnson, and Willy HernanGomez ahead of Upshaw tbh.

My preference is to trade #27 for a pick next summer if we don't have a shot at a kid who can contribute right now. That keeps our books as clear as possible. I'd break the bank on either Danny Green or DeMarre Carroll and then fill in the blanks as they come.

I wouldn't mind Harris though. He's got a lot of talent and can create decently for himself. He'd help take the pressure off of Kobe to do everything.

Hmm, I wonder if we can do a sign and trade Nick Young + #27 for DeMarre Carrol?

Also has the added benefit of giving us a pick in next year's draft. We don't have one right now (unless we move into the top 3). Can you imagine that? We miss the playoffs by like 3 or 4 games, and get lucky in the lottery and move up to 3.

I'd be calling "conspiracy theory" at that point.

The NBA needs the Lakers as their marquee draw every season so bringing us back to relevancy quickly would only help The League's coffers and maintain its popularity second only to the NFL.

Then Durant leaves his team to come to a team that recently stockpiled draft picks. We trade our top pick next season for a young veteran out of UCLA with a bit of an injury history that might leave the team for nothing (Westbrook).

    Okafor
    Randle
    Durant
    Clarkson
    Westbrook

Oh I agree. I think us getting the #2 pick had a lot to do with that. I just think if God forbid we end up in the lottery again and we somehow get into the Top 3 of the draft, it's pretty transparent right? Them helping the Cavs out goes "under the radar" because small market teams "need the help" but if WE got that treatment for FOUR YEARS STRAIGHT the world would come crashing down.

Here's Winslow bricking shots for Denver; still doubt his jumper. I'd take Super Mario over him in a heart beat.

As would I. Very happy we aren't at #5 where decisions like this need to be made.
