You can never know what happens when these kids enter the NBA...but I always bet on size...Okafor, Turner, Cauley-Stein and Towns

Watched that last Ohio State game. I get the hype on Russell, but Johnson is still my guy.

    Okafor
    Johnson
    Towns
    Russell
    Mudiay

Russell over Mudiay for me just because we're getting enough exposure to Russell instead of Mudiay. Just playing in college is more of a step forward developmentally for Russell. Mudiay playing overseas doesn't give us enough of a chance to see him.

Russell showed some good stuff in that game. My favorite part about his game is the efficiency with which he moves. Extremely low turnover rate, good and smart passes, and good form on his shots.

The same concerns though: lack of focus all the time and defensively I need to see more from him.

Woj is reporting that Orlando is getting rid of it's head coach; about freaking time. They should be better than their record indicates...

One win won't cost us the pick and I got to admit I loved watching that game. Awesome development from Clarkson, clutch from Jordan Hill who is slowly making me reconsider my position on him, and man I love this version of Ellington.

Considering NY, Minny, and Philly all won a game this week we didn't really hurt ourselves too much. A loss in NY would go a long way towards helping our tanking cause.

Funny enough all the teams below us have a better roster/coach except for Corbin in Sacramento; Byron, will lead us to that pick...next 5 games.

    @ Knicks
    @ Milwaukee
    @ Orlando
    @ Cleveland
    vs. Denver

I assume Okafor is Emeka's (spelling?) son? What does his upside appear to be compared to Pops?

    Distant cousin.

Emeka was a defensive guy and stood 6'10" on a good day. Jahlil is all offensive ability and is closer to 6'11" and could pass for 7' on a good day.

I agree that one win won't kill us but it's against the Bulls. We can give up those easy losses.

I checked the schedule the next month or so and I'm getting real nervous. We still need to play the Sixers twice and the Knicks twice.

I was listening to Mason and Ireland yesterday and they were saying he had really been bringing it (like tenaciously) on defense and that was something else they agreed they liked about him. Not so?

Whoaah!! Let me answer my own questions after watching just the first part of the defensive video scouting breakdown in the link you gave. I broke away to say, he early on there sucked. No vertical jumping to protect. Jogging back on defensive changeover, not the fastest reactions by any means. If he looks at the footage maybe it will embarrass him to be better. Or maybe it gets better later on, going back now. Clearly didn't in 1st 5 minutes look like what Mason and Ireland were describing.

No he just really doesn't have much of a vertical so he won't be a perfect rim protector. Someone made the comparison to hopefully a Marc Gasol and I don't ever see him being a defensive captain, but he can maybe defend 1-on-1 in a similar way i.e. using his length to bother shots since he can't really jump all that well.

He's still the #1 pick because of incredible offensive prowess, but definitely he'll be a defensive work in progress.

I haven't even watched the offense yet, his lack of athleticism and effort on D has underwhelmed me that much. So what is it, he just "tries harder" on offense? Some of the guys he didn't even move much for were downright Harden esque. Step your game up big man.

No he's actually brilliant offensively man you should go watch it. He's just not very mobile defensively it takes a bit different skills and a bit different muscle groups.
