He will be waived immidiately, at least thats my understanding. The 76ers might have like 6-7 centers now which is insane. I think in this draft they picked like 3 or 4, especially in the second round...its insane to me.
It's a shame we didn't have more cap space. The Cavs are going to end up giving up atleast 1 pick just to get a TPE that they could potentially trade near the deadline. The team that takes on Haywood is just going to waive him and get most of that cap space right back.
I would take Andre Miller over Baron Davis. Definitely agree with that. As well ..... this clip can never be made available for viewing too many times ......
I don't know about Andre Miller. I've always been a fan personally, but he has a pretty insane post game. We already have Byron talking about Kobe at PF, a post game like Dre's and he's guaranteed to be our starting 4.
He might entertain and consider teams that only in 'contention' at this juncture given his age at limited basketball playing time he has left currently; however, I'd create a roster spot for him. Can play the 3 in limited minutes (13-15mgh not asking for much), a legit 3 that even started 15 games last year play 67 in totality, and is a good vet to help mentor Brown along the way.

Mike Miller was traded to Portland; however, there is a very likely possibility that Miller discusses a buyout with Portland that will make him a free agent if that happens.
Also, Miami isn't taking any salaries back. I don't think Chalmers is worth a first-rounder; it would probably take a 2nd rounder that could get it done. Just speculating...
@RandleROFY what I've read is they're looking for a 2nd from someone, but a lot of teams are balking at just taking on 4 million in guaranteed cash without giving anything back. I believe teams are telling them that if they want anything back at all, they'd better be prepared to take some cash back with them as well.
Gotcha. Arison doesn't like to pay luxury taxes. I wouldn't mind taking the $4.3 million that Chalmers is making for a 2nd rounder, but that's just me.
Agreed, but we can't. We no longer have the cap space for it. If we were to get Chalmers, we'd have to find a way to get our guys out as well in a three team trade. Who knows? Mitch might be working a three team trade right now where we send out enough cash to get Chalmers. Here's the kicker: if we bring in Chalmers we need to get rid of approximately his 4.3 million dollar contract. Kelly/Sacre, even with the 150% + 100K rule, make only 4.16 million. We're about 140K short of being able to move just those two for Chalmers. We'd have to include another small contract, probably Jabari's. Then the trade becomes Chalmers for Jabari, Kelly, and Sacre. Is that enough? I think we should at least get a 2nd rounder back with Chalmers for giving up two decent prospects and a 3rd stringer. Guys are selling 2nd rounders like they're nothing right now.
