The Lakers are a sh!t show! I would say more, but why should I give a damn if they clearly don't! I miss talking to you guys, but I'll just sound like a grumpy old man talking these Lakers! Our FO needs to go or do something to gain our trust back, till then Mitch's wand is only good for one thing...making Laker fans disappear...

Magic would have to have a functioning formal position. Couldn't just bring him in to specificly sell and close FAs. That would be seen right through for its superficial motive. He's with the Dodgers and not coming back unless for owner position and the Busses aren't selling.

It "would" be great to read you more Vash. Wow sorry to hear you are that bitter with them. Makes me sad. A little surprised that it extends as passionately toward Mitch too.

It's just a bad time..and we are not used to losing.

Lakers missed the playoffs a grand total of 5 times before 2013.

After next year, we are most likely missing the playoffs for a 3rd straight time. Had it not been for Kobe's insane run in 2012-13, we would have missed the playoffs then too.

I just worry Magic would talk way too much about the past and other things outside of the Lakers that makes this a great choice. We need have people who already talk about all the outside stuff. I think its explaining our future team goals and strategy that we need the most help in and frankly I don't know if Magic would be the guy to do all that for us.

I keep coming back to this pic after I enlarged it on my phone. Gawd he does make Timmy look small and they're at almost the same angle from the camera. Dude is yoked. Looks like he is ready to ball this year and has to be thrilled with the Lakers opportunity. Love that he's playing for his next contract. Also love that he is a savant at jumping straight up on defense and refs give him the call. (detailed in the Sports Illustrated article). Amazing to see what a physical specimen he has turned himself into through hard work compared to how pitifully weak and unathletic he was when he first got to college.

    Agreed

Mitch can make trades happen but when it comes to making the team look good when it comes to fa he doesnt have IT

Maybe its his personality or maybe its something else but i think that if i had a meeting w/ mitch i dont care how many millions hes talking about he wouldnt convince me because id be bored and prob knocked out by the time he was done

Idk if its because im a sales man and its my job to make whatever im selling look attractive for the customer but i find that if i seem excited about what im pitching the customer will 9 times out of 10 buy it because of the presentation.

I think thats whats missing in the FO. You need a guy that will make whatever it is their pitching look good. Im not talking about fancy words and big lights im talking about making the player feel like HE'S the one that would be missing out if he left the room without accepting what they're offering

If the FO wants to save their bacon they should do the right thing and analyze their staff and realize thats what they lack.

Love the center we got! great move.
I stopped following Hibbert since the series against the Heat. But if we can make him play at even 80% percent of what he was, it's a hugh steal. and he is still young and healthy, theres no reason why he can't be a top 5 C in the league again.
I just hope Kobe treats him a little different. He looks like a sensitive guy who needs his confidence back. Needs the Lamar Odom treatment.

Well he sat out the 2014-15 season so he's semi-retired but we really don't have much use for him.

That ended up not happening. They didn't have boar. Just chicken and beef. Kinda okay with that.

The frontline is set I guess. We just need a vet point guard. We should put Kobe and Swaggy at SF full time until Anthony Brown and Nance learns the pro game. Great offseason so far.

Maybe we're not done yet. I do agree that we need a vet PG. In the worst case, Price. He gets along with Byron, and won't do anything stupid. Not saying he should play much, but he brings stability and plays his role. Who else is available right now?

Skill is needed but sales takes a certain type of personality and if you aren't that person you're likely going to suck at it and hate it.

JSM's going to send "that" email about Kobe and Byron needing to do that, on behalf of LB. ;)

He can probably still play, although he's 40. He is way more durable than Nash.
