To add - we also didn't get a center that would: 1. not like to play center 2. not have any offensive game 3. have anger management issues and general headcasiness; also isn't named Boogie 4. not have any defensive game 5. take our cap space for the next N years Hibbert was the best move all along. Perhaps all the rest was one giant smokescreen. P.S. The FA meetings may also have been us paying our dues to agents, and future FAs.
The Great thing about having roy is if he plays great we can offer him the most years next year or if he doesn't pan out we can have enough cap space to sign 2 maybe even 3 Max players. Kd and demar derozan? hopefully our rookies and 2nd year players have a great season to persuade fa's to come here next year
I think I've stated this before... No Rondo, Love, DJ - I am a happy camper. Those are desperation moves.
I'm sure Mitch and Co. had the Roy trade in the bag all along but were hesitant to pull the trigger because they were having such a great time reading the doom in these threads.
So apparently we only have $4.7m leftover after Hibbert trade? Do we have the mini MLE, MLE, or room exception to use after we use up that 4.7m or is it vets minimum contracts after that? And I'm guessing Hibbert has a trade kicker and that's why we only have $4.7m leftover after this trade?
Not to tip my own hat, but I will. I told you all to keep the faith and relax. I knew there was something up Mitchell's sleeve and the fact he executed one of my favorite scenario of getting Hibbert is icing on the cake. From now on, #trustKareemtheGreat33
29-41 The reason for this range is that I use two different systems. One of them weighs total contributions; the other one weighs relative contributions. We don't have enough players right now to give a proper reading on the lower indication (we need another 2200 minutes worth of playing time filled out). If I had to put money down today I'd put the over/under at 35. All that said, Hibbert could have a much larger impact. He could add another +2 to the one indicator, and he could push us above 41 on the other. It all depends upon how stout that defense is
He's an absolute monster on defense at both SG and SF. Incredible timing on blocks and steals. Was top 5 in the league in blocks per48 last season.
