That's right... Not a good addition if we sign Upshaw.

I'm thinking we can absorb Roy Hibbert. Use a large chunk of our cap space on KJ McDaniels to pry him out of Houston.

    Still a few pieces left.

Harris doesn't hurt that much honestly after reading all the reports that Orlando was set on matching. Okay fine.

I'd still take Hibbert, Koufos, McDaniels... That's pretty much it. That's the last that I'd be vaguely satisfied about.

Would it take that much to pry kj out of houston supposedly their offer is like 1 mil

Maybe a poison pill contract so they dont match? Hes intriguing because hes young and even won dpoy in college.

And i think koufos or bismack would be cheaper AND better than hibbert

I don't know why Hibbert is being underrated here, he is a legit starter in this league unlike koufus and bismack

Hibbert is better than either player, but we need to spend our cap space somehow. Hibbert is low risk, high reward. It wasn't too long ago he was dominating the Heat in the playoffs. He could have a Pau-in-Chicago-esque revitalization in a new home. He worked with Kareem last year and he's a legit 7'2" so that helps.

If we went Koufos, I'd be fine, but Hibbert is a good direction as well and seems to fit Mitch's MO a little more.

McDaniels I've heard will cost about 3-5 million to get out of Houston. I've heard Houston is threatening basically up to MLE money.

I like Hibbert over Koufos, but I think Koufos can be a starter in the league as well.

Hmm i'll take your word for it. Fron the games i'd seen he looked disinterested and lacked focus on the court and offensively made howard look like shaq but if he play good D i'd take him

As for kj maybe 6 mil per for 3-4 yrs should do it.

    Him or lou will

Checking my dictionary to look up the word splash. We were meant to make a splash this year in free agency.

We have made two belly flops in our L.M.A meetings.

If things don't pick up soon I hope the splash will be the sound of Mitch and the front office jumping in a lake.

What is the point of making plans to have a banquet, failing and overpaying for the scraps after everybody has already eaten.

If it doesn't work it's not an f'n plan.

I see Michael Beasely as our starting SF. So crazy. I do endorse Hibbert at this stage.

This Front Office has completely depressed me. This has to be the most uncertain time in Lakersland in it's history. This is just absolutely crazy what has happened...

Lou Williams would be a great pickup for the team. Reigning 6th man of the year? Yeah I take that in an instant. He's only 28 and he'd give us solid scoring off the bench. THAT is the kind of pick that a team like us needs. We need Nick Youngs and Lou Williamses who buy in and work hard and end up great role players for us. Plus having him on the roster would really help us bring along the young guys slower.

Hibbert has had a huge issue with Indiana the last couple seasons very much like what Pau did here after we tried to trade him and failed. He's finding trouble motivating for a team that doesn't want him. Not too long ago he was crushing the Heat in the playoffs enough for them to load up on big bodies to try combat him.

If we exited the summer with Lou Williams and Roy Hibbert I'd be surprised and impressed.

If we get Hibbert, Gerald Green (or KJ) and Aaron Brooks...I would be ecstatic...

Also, do we have mini MLE or MLE?

im not sure what the going rates are on these guys but i would like lou williams, kj, and koufos/biyombo on the team. I think this would provide some good offensive and defensive balance.
