DJ's offense is better than Wallace's. I think he's overall a better player now at 26? than Wallace ever was.
what would stop the spurs from announcing they got LA to commit to them, so all the free agent bigs would be out of reach for lakers, suns, etc?
Carlisle has done well with athletic bigs like Tyson and Brandan Wright. I see no reason for DJ to disappoint.
Ok guys. I'm gonna say this, and hope I don't get crucified. What about Javale McGee? He's still young, and a crazy athletic 7 footer that can block shots and run the floor. It'll at least be fun watching Kobe give him the death stare when he has one of his space cadet moments. He might be what the doctor ordered with our young backcourt in transition.
I'm glad he's returning and not going to the Kings because now the kings can lock in on Rondo so we don't get him
So...how the heck are the rockets going to sign LMA after giving 14M in combined salary to Brewer and Beverley? Sign and Trade Terrence Jones and Ariza?
And ditto on Rondo....want NO part of that cancer. I'll be really happy when his name is off the radar. Also, we may not have a choice but to look at McGee after everyone gets taken....at least he'll come cheap, and he's still young. On that note...Clippers might be lookin at McGee as well...
$10 million!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMFAO. I'd rather end up with the roster we have now than have paid him $10 million.
I was referring to us at least appearing to be just waiting for Aldridge. There are moves we could have made. I'm hoping when the dust settles and the whole story comes out that we actually have been actively working to grab other guys.
So the Lakers admit the 2nd meeting didn't blow aldridge out of the water....So why haven't they moved on and filled the roster out????
@trodgers I wasn't comparing Wallace's offense to DJ's. I meant that his defense (DJ) is not irreplacable in the sense that Ben Wallace's defense was. Furthermore I'm alleging that part of DJ's offensive efficiency was in part due to Chris Paul and then also because of the attention other players got. tl;dr: DJ's defense is great but not other-wordly; his offense is a big question mark
