I wouldn't mind either Monroe/Shumpert or Harris/Lopez or Harris/Davis... Even then, oi it's not looking tremendous.

Think it just means Kobe feels like he's being misrepresented in the meeting by the media.

I've read every report. I am sure all of us have. One thing I can say for certain is that I miss Jerry Buss. These are times where it gets magnified...

WTS, I can totally understand where Aldridge is coming from to the basketball side of things. We don't have the personnel to slide him to the 4 full time we have a young core, and our coaching staff is stuck in the 80s.

We have another 2 years before I think Westbrook comes; yes, I think he's the most viable option. During that time, our core could improve, we could change head coaches, and be in a better position...

Couldn't agree more. We have to at least come away with one out of the two of Monroe or Harris and any combination of Lopez or Davis to at least secure that C position.

And this is what LMA didn't like about the Lakers and Byron Scott.

The Lakers current FO needs to start stepping up to the table and not showing off what daddy accomplished. No disrespect to Dr. Buss there, all towards the kids and Mitch taking the easy route and showing everything that Dr. Buss built.

Seems like these guys wanna go in and just win a championship

These super teams messed everything up

Theres no more talk of guys wanting to go somewhere be the man and want that responsibility to actually be the one to turn it all around.

    Thats weak sauce to me

    Where did their balls go?

Jerry wanted Mike D'Antony over Phil. Don't forget he was losing his touch at the end

Hate to say it but it doesn't seem like the Laker name just holds as much weight as it use to. No one really wants to come to team with a bunch of unproven players and a Kobe on the last years of his career. Looking at it from their perspective, its hard for me to fault them.

Yep. Russell better be Harden 2.0. Upshaw better be Mutumbo 2.0 and Randle Grandmama 2.0.

Not getting my hopes up for DeAndre. If clippers can sign him to the max and same with Dallas, there's no reason for him to be a Laker.

Agreed. Meetings are typically 2 hours. Never heard of a guy spending over 6 hours with a team in a 15 hr span and him not ending up on their team. We don't have time for the well to dry up any more. I say ditch his meeting and spend the time reevaluating our approach to someone who might actually come here.

Yep. The thing with the analytics is tricky though. They definitely need to be more involved, but they also have nothing to get into the analytics with. What are they going to show LMA? What Lin did last year?

Maybe they could show some projections on who they feel would be successful and where and why.
