Ramona says if we miss on Aldridge/Jordan which looks likely then we'll run hard at Chandler/R. Lopez. Loving it.
The age is what gives the nod for me for Love. I wouldn't say Love is better than Aldridge, they're quite different players. Aldridge is a highly skilled offensive player with a multitude of ways to score. One of the best scoring PF in the last decade. Love is a superior rebounder, can finish well inside, and has that open shot. He's a pretty underrated passer too.
Harris is estimated value at 12-14 million, but his max is a little over 16 million. Most people think Orlando lets him walk for that much.
Glad Carroll got his money, he worked hard enough and that's the ball park I was expecting for. Where it gets interesting is what do the Hawks do now? Splitter is a big get for them. He solves all the needs exposed in their front court during the playoffs. If they don't match Millsap, Horford can FINALLY move to his natural position. Then they can throw their money at a SF before they're all gone.
Harris...and Chandler. G - Clarkson G - Bryant F - Harris F - Randle C - Chandler With Russell...Young...Nance...Davis or Black...Brown off the pine, this crew can be competitive and could surprise people. Lukewarm on Monroe or Love... Aldridge will likely be a Spur. Jordan will go back to the Clippers. RoLo anyone?
if they end up acquiring love, what happens to randle? confused a bit there. would they use him off the bench?
You do understand Randle hasn't played one game in the NBA right? We all know Randle's talent, but the kid needs to be eased into the game. He'll earn his spot. And it's not out of the question he can play SF.
Jordan would be a good fit but unlikely. If we want the rooks to develop, they have to be given opportunities and not have to defer to anyone not wearing 24. A competent 3 as a pressure valve [Caron Butler?] would be great. I like those two options. Chandler has won a ring and is seeking stability. Lopez is like that big 'ole dog who will do whatever and is just happy to be somewhere.
