    I agree to a certain extent

    With kobe's resume he deserves that money but is he worth that at this point? Maybe not.

    Thats just a point of taking care of your players towards the end of their career.

    Which is also what we should pitch to LA, spurs on the other hand want u to play for less

    True...chalk that up to free agency but with Clarkson, Randle and Russell assuming we keep two or all three could possibly contribute as much or even more than the pair you noted. That one high profile veteran player A.B. [After Bryant] will likely be bought on board for stability and marketing and recruiting until their play tapers off where by then the young core will have developed and it is them being the attraction that brings in free agent talent and keeps the brand relevant going forward.

    It's amazing how much money being 7 feet tall and being skilled offensively at all will get you, regardless of injury history too. Prime Shaq would command 50 mil per year in today's NBA if Brook Lopez is worth 20 per. Dude is a 17-19 PPG, 7 boards a year guy on average and he gets that.
