Lol I'd have absolutely traded the 3rd-5th pick and whatever other players not named Clarkson or Randle for him. But with a shot at 2 guys in the top 2 that could be as good as him on rookie price contracts, different story.

Yeah. It would have been tough to pass on him for the 3rd to 5th pick.

He has to work on defending smaller guards though. Lol

A 3rd to 5th pick doesn't even get the conversation started with Sacramento. They'd want more, and I don't blame them. Now, a 3rd to 5th pick for Butler straight across is a different story.

True. I'm mainly just laughing at that clip.

kind of surprising because I dont think he should expect a team to give him more than that a year.

i hope people aren't taking that cousins clip seriously (like LeBron hijacking the footage of Jordan Crawford dunking on him). he's having fun with kids at a camp. if anything, it's reassuring to see cousins do goofy normal guy stuff. some of his on-court behavior suggests that he might take himself too seriously.

For a guy who is usually banged up during the year, maybe he wants a long-term deal right now at his age.

I posted the Cousins clip strictly for humor. I don't think anyone is taking it serious. At least I hope not.

That young man has a story he'll treasure for the rest of his life.

    What a fun camp.

Agreed. That clip came across my timeline and I thought it was nice. Especially all the kids reactions.

this is the only thing I could think of. This and the fact that he may want to go to another team if LMA isn't going to be there anymore.

That's also a great point. I like Lillard, but is he good enough to carry a team right now? I don't think so. Maybe if Aldridge walks the Trailblazers find their way back into the lottery again...

Probably not a popular view, but I would throw a max at Dragic. We'll go after LMA, but f he says no, throw a max at Dragic.

I would have if JC had not blown up last year. A maxed Dragic takes minutes away from JC and leaves our biggest need for a 3+D SF unfilled.

Dragic and JC could play together. When Kobe sits out, you could start both. Dual initiators, both could create, handle the ball, run pick in roll, both elite finishers, etc.

Okafor/Dragic offseason would be a great offseason, IMO. Need a wing? Target Wilson Chandler or another bargain bin type SF.

i think i said it in another thread, but if you like russell, you can nab a proven version right now in dragic. you'll have to pay, though.

Of course, Dragic CAN play with either Kobe or JC. The point is that we NEED a SF more than we need a 3rd guard. Carroll is a much bigger get for us than Wilson Chandler.

I wouldn't argue that Carrolll is a better player. What I would argue is that Dragic and Chandler, Aminu or even Anderson move the needle more for this team than signing Carroll outright.

Are you saying that adding Dragic to a Clarkson/Kobe backcourt will move the needle more than replacing Wesley Johnson with DeMarre Carroll?
