    @sirronstuff gif request:
    Animated Luke literally kicking or throwing Byron out. Like a kick in the @$$ or like being thrown out of a bar by ones seat of pants and nape of neck.

    Can't wait to see Luke on our sideline. Sounds like he has a great vision for this team. That's what we need, to establish an identity as a team. We are on our way back!

    If you would've told me 5 years ago that Luke would be our coach I would've seriously considered finding a new team (and I've been a Laker fan since 81). I despised Luke the player. And I'm sitting here just as happy as I can be that he's our coach. What a wild and crazy world we live in.

    Easiest to find a clip and alter it vs make something from scratch. Do you have an example you can send my way in picture or video form?

    In a lot of ways Luke is the polar opposite of Byron. He's great communicator, is a modern coach that runs an offense that suits his players, positive, doesn't throw his players under the bus, and has no ego.

    Luke used to come in and get our offense going. I remember that well. He'd get movement when we were stagnant. Sure he played mediocre defense on forwards at best but that was good enough. Getting that second unit, and some times the first unit into some plays was his function. His mindset is team play.

    Byron's function never was that. He comes from a weird place as a player turned coach. Most good coaches were PGs or like Luke, played a team game.

    This is such a breath of fresh air. It's so anti-byron.

    funny how for the longest time, we all wanted luke gone

    but to be honest, if you had told me in 2012 that luke would be coaching the team in 4 years, i would have laughed and not believed it at first but i think we all could have figured that the high basketball IQ was there. all those years in practices and during games riding the pine with phil and co, you learn a ton. not to mention he comes from a basketball background in the first place. great players never turn out to be successful coaches, magic johnson and wayne gretzky are two examples of that. it's guys like luke who stick around for years and gradually build that high IQ who become great coaches.

    luke knows what he's doing and i don't question that for a second

    It just occurred to me that we may need to bring back the Luke Walton action face emoticon, coach version/style. Action face!

    Do you think Luke can "tame" Boogie Cousins?

    The way the Warriors, especially Draymond, talks about him I think he can. But then again he'll be head coach now as oppose to an assistant. He'll have more on his plate.

    Rather than Luke doing that, since he's a nice guy and not the one doing it, how about Mitch, or maybe better .... Jim doing it. Need more of Jim doing good. A bazillion of Mitch. Slow it down .... Mitch with the ball cap on. Just thoughts. Love Boron being tossed out the door though. :Headbang:

    Anyone else impressed with the fact Jim signed off on it and with Mitch .... did the absolute right thing for the franchise in hiring Luke .... knowing that it also makes it much easier for Jeanie to bring Phil back if he can't deliver on his promise to have them back to more competitive shape this year?
