The day of the birth of our (basketball) lord, Stephen Curry, first of his name. May his reign be long and glorious.
Hard to believe he's 28 already. It's almost like this run of incredible play came out of nowhere so we think of him as really young, plus he looks 19. But he was a 4 year college player, and took some time to adjust to the NBA and get past the ankle issues. But dang, 28, he's in his prime, he's actually older than Kevin Durant who's in his 9th NBA season.
Only 28 years old?? With his style of game he's got a good 5 years before things start to catch up with his less-than-athletic body in the new NBA. Since the Lakers stink, I hope he continues being brilliant. A new dynasty in GS would be pretty cool. I'm sick of San Antonio and I don't want any rings for LeBron in Cleveland.
It almost makes it easier with the Lakers being way away from being a contender. If we were where the Spurs or Clips are, it would be infuriating to see GS and Steph in particular doing what they are doing. Being so far out, you can really just sit back, relax and enjoy the show. The "I'm going to tell my grandkids about..." platitude gets thrown around alot, but Steph earns that. 50 years from now we will be talking about these past 2 years (and whatever he does in the future).
The quality of legacy video clips keeps getting better and better as well. I'm all over the first well done Kobe Bryant bluray retrospective.
Not to hijack this thread but thanks for the info... Add to the collection. On topic...yes, I find it surprising that Curry is 28 thinking he is way younger. I hope he plays at a high level for another 5 or so years just not against us.
The San Antonio Spurs are the New England Patriots of the NBA. Agree on James. Curry plays down to the floor so his injury risk is low plus they cover for him on defense. If West stays as a consultant there, they will be in good hands to keep it going...
Hey never knew Steph and I share the same birthday with Einstein coolness, all of us have the same thing in common, greatness!
