I would without question. Chicago wouldn't I doubt. They'd have to think about it, but ultimately, Butler is arguable a top 10 player. When you draft at #1 you hope to get a top 10 player. Butler is already there and he's young.

But Butler for Clarkson and the #1 pick still leaves us with Russell, Randle, Nance and Lou off the bench and two max slots. That's super appealing to free agents.

While I agree with you two that JC is currently the better all-around player, Booker is 4 years younger. He also has a height advantage as a SG. I kind of feel that DAR + JC is more dynamic but DAR + Booker could end up being the better tandem if we are following the GSW model.

If you are going straight for the GS model, then yes Booker is a better fit. I'm not sure we have to do that EXACT model. If we traded Clarkson for Booker I wouldn't be totally upset (or that upset at all), but I'd like to keep him for what might be a pretty lateral move. Not gonna lie, part of it is also that he's "our" little gem, ya know? I obviously trade him in a second with the pick for a guy like Butler, but for a move like that, I'd want to keep him.

True, and the chemistry between Russell and JC seems authentic, which can not be underestimated.

And maybe an underrated part of this relationship is that Jordan and Julius are also close. Jordan could be the piece that connects both of those guys together. Lately it's pretty clear that D'Angelo and Julius are on the same page more often where they weren't early in the year. The three of them seem to genuinely like each other unlike some other teams we know (Clippers, Cavs, Rockets...)

Yeah but watch out for that Nance kid .... could just be an act. No one is that nice. And what are odds of all 4 of those guys? Suppose next we think GS really is all happy and liking one another?

So I didn't watch the game, but I saw that he started off hot and then went ice cold. Byron's doing?

Not from what I saw, he just started bricking. Then a couple times he got into the lane, got stuck, tried to shoot a little fadeaway and got rejected both times. Then he and Russ rode the bench for what seemed like the entire 4th.

Yeah he definitely was driving without a purpose last night. It was actually strange seeing him play without confidence in his scoring ability. There was a couple times we kicked the ball out to him wide open on the three point line and he hesitated to shoot the ball resulting in a bad possession. Then there were the awkward drives right into Robin Lopez that didn't work for obvious reasons. It was definitely a weird game for him. I blame the presences of Byron, Lou, and especially Kobe. Crowded rotation and not enough basketball to go around.

Nice comeback game against the Knicks for JC. I especially like how he's watching the passing lanes to intercept and create easy baskets in transition. Our halfcourt offense is awful, so we need all the easy baskets we can manufacture.

Was he driving like a light skinned dude?
Sounds like time for another Kobe talk
Because when he's in an aggressive mindset
There are few that can carry his jock

    Come on guys....

    EDIT:
Thinking about it more, isn't it a little convenient for her to be who she is? Maybe they did do as she said, maybe they didn't but Lakers got on top of that quickly. JC seems like a nice guy and as crazy as Nick Young is he seems pretty chill but we don't really know them.

I really hope this didn't happen, but I'm not sure how we're ever going to know, unless she took video, but I didn't see that anywhere. She took pictures of them as we see, but they aren't doing anything in the picture except looking at her camera. It could have happened as she said, or she could have recognized some pro athletes from a Los Angeles team, got their attention, took photos and had something to push her agenda. The fact of who she is/what she does, has me a little suspicious, huge coincidence for these guys to do this to her, unless they were going around doing it to everyone they saw and she was one of many. Really hope it's not true though, I expect better of our players. JC seems like a decent kid, and Young, silly as he is, does as well, I think it was just days ago I saw him posting pics from his sons birthday party, believe JC and Russ were there too.
